"Janet Dudley-Esbach, president of Salisbury University and first cousin-in-law of vice presidental candidate Joe Biden continues with her arrogant behavior. Who can forget the criminal activity of her son while a student at Salisbury University, or especially her recent embarrassing pictures on Facebook.
Just about a year ago, Dudley-Esbach was forced to remove very offensive photographs from her Facebook account that showed her holding a stick having to 'beat off the Mexicans' and another emphasizing the genitals of a tapir. She has not learned from her past mistakes. This latest photograph of the bumper sticker stating 'My Corgi is smarter than your honor student.' from the back of her Acura (attached) proves her continued disrespect and disregard for not only the Salisbury University community, but for Salisbury and the surrounding areas. It insults not only many fine students on her campus, but thumbs her nose at the many hard-working high school students and their families in the region."

Ask how she had a handicap parking space removed from the front of her office building and had her personal space moved where the handicap space was. Sad part is her fat arse lives right across the street. And he son, Mr. throwing gang signs in the news paper, was a scumbag who got away with anything he did thanks to mommy. Probably got his degree without going to school.

She is such an embarrassment to SSU...I was flying home one night and my plane was to land in Philadelphia to catch a commuter to Salisbury and no one but her ended up on my commuter flight to Salisbury and for a University President she looked like the biggest slob in the world...What an embarrassment she is...grow up!!!
If she is so bad why does Salisbury Univerity have such a good reputation academically ? Give the lady a break !

I have had nothing but decent encounters and respectful conversations with Janet. She has been a powerful voice to students at Salisbury University and I feel like her sense of humor and humanity have given her an opportunity to relate to those she represents.

You can thank the late Tom Bellavance for that "good" academic reputation, and it was on the verge of becoming "very good" when he died, but that hasn't happened under Merwin and Eschbach.
It's now about to revert to the "mediocre" status of 25 or so years ago.

I,too, am interested in how she is connected to Biden.
The connection to Biden is that Biden is her husband's cousin. Say what you want, but under her leadership, the academic standards have gone up dramatically--that is easily verifiable if you think I am blowing smoke. The funding from the state has dramatically increased (though it is still low compared to other universities in the system), the graduation rate is extraordinarily high, and the standards for faculty have increased. Plus, she loves Jimmy Buffet. Get over it--she is a real person who has some flaws, but also has a sense of humor. If you really are offended by this sticker, you probably have a really dumb kid.
Why don't we just take the sticker off the bumper,and recycle it and donate the proceeds to the WALLSTREET BAIL-OUT!
9:44 just hit that pitch way over the fence. Anything SU has now it owes to Tom Bellavance/the corps of 1970s-Early '90s profs....And by the way; in SU's case more/bigger is NOT better. I don't know this lady personally, but her public track record reminds me of similar failed leadership (on a slightly larger scale) in a local small, Eastern Shore city. "Sell out" all the unique charm/local tradition to out-of-towners/developers/landlords (you know, the guys who throw the 4X4s through your windows while your kids are asleep, yet fails to discipline the program's leaders), while displacing the locals because they "aren't good/rich enough", and take all their over-priced tuition money to build lavish brick roadside facades/unnecessary new buildings to cover educational/classroom staff inadequacies (and we have to also budget boo-coo money to go to Mexico and such while the locals can have their break by only having to work two out of their three normal jobs to make ends meet). And then we make absolute fools of ourselves by not realizing Facebook (a creation of Al Gore's World-Wide Web) might make you look like a tool-ette because of offensive things YOU, YOURSELF POSTED AS A UNIVERSITY PRESIDENT (geepers, they gave me the university Prez gig and I don't even know how to work this confounded internetie thing!!). And you guys are laughing at Sara Palin???? When you guys put all your local eggs in PRMC and SUs basket (instead of keeping those jobs in the industrial park for blue-collar workers that disappear from our community daily) you are making an investment in your community's future about as wise as putting your last $20 on a Four-Spot in Keno. Start interviewing some of the profs/admin who have given your local University/community a decade of their lives-otherwise you just keep selling all our souls to carpetbaggers (and if you let them, they will take our Punkin' Chunkin, Crab/Lawn Mower Races, Seafood/Wine Festivals/Bike Weeks and turn them into watered down revenue streams where the officials don't even attend because they have a better hotel room that week..Gee, surprisingly they can't attend the Boat-Docking Finals because they are in Mexico!!)

JDE is an embarrassment to SU. She speaks about sustainability yet drives her car to work when she lives across the street. MOst of the time she isn't even on campus. The provost just resigned not even 2 years after he was hired. Who can forget her speech during 2003 (the last budget crisis) when she wanted to refute rumors that she drives around in a Lexus. She said "it's not a Lexus, it's an Acura". What a joke!
