Everybody has a right to their opinion. Telling someone to die and threatening them with putting the staff at PRMC on death alert is pretty damn frightening. Frankly if you are from around this area you have has bad experiences with the PRMC staff and some good ones. PRMC should be thankful for people posting their problems so the can rectify the issues.
The way I see it, you can wait several hours for a doctor who may give you substandard care (if you get a doctor and not a physician's assistant), OR you can drive a couple of hours (or less if AG is good enough for you) and get care you feel confident in from doctors you trust.
I'm on your side Joe.
WOW the staff at PRMC seems like they are very angry people. No wonder nobody ever looks happy there. I have heard of putting your foot in you mouth but between Dr. Stevens post and this one their must be enough room for two here. My suggestion would be to apologize to anyone that has had a bad experience and ask what you can do to fix the problem. Quit pointing the finger at the public. Sorry we get ill sometimes. GEEZ
I may not know about the doctors that work at PRMC, but I do know that the the person who wrote this threat is a horse's ass!
Interesting that the post mentions going to Baltimore to die...I've heard of several stories recently where patients have had to go to Baltimore to have themselves repaired after letting the docs down here work on them.
Don't forget that McCready in Crisfield has an ER, too.
Actually a serious threat!!!!
Dahlia, don't be so quick to knock the PA's. Some of them are just as good if not better than the Doc's around here. They are typically more proactive at getting to the bottom of what is going on with you when you are ill. Remember they don't make as much as the doc's so they are more careful to not get their asses sue'd.

And I am confident it came from an employee of Peninsula Regional Medical Center.
I have personally had an issue with an employee at the hospital and called R. Alan Newberry, President. His response to me was that he had nothing to do with it and to quit bothering him. He was to good to deal with an employee that was a serious liability to the hospital. R. Alan Newberry is a worthless POS that thinks he is above the law and should be terminated as soon as possible. That hospital is the biggest rip off in the state of Maryland and they claim to be non profit.
I have many bad stories about PRMC. The words here don't surprise me one bit. Some (lots) of their own employees don't even like the place. Seems with each new addition the standards would change in that place..WRONG!
I'm not sure exactly what the long term local nurses are seeing in their paychecks at PRMC, but I will tell you that those temporary staffers that sign the 13 week contracts are seeing between $30-$40 per hour and they're also getting their rent, furnings and utilities paid for (typically between $1500-$2000 per month).
I'd be pissed as hell if I were a local, long term employee and I knew that.
Sorry for posting this anonymously, but I'm bound by confidentiality.
Don't criticize folks for expressing their opinion.PRMC, Clean up your act and you might get better reviews!! Non Profit my foot !! Try not paying your bill on time and they will turn your a** over to the collection agency in a heartbeat!!
Well I worked for PRMC for a few years. I found most of the Doctors , PA's and nurses to be very nice and helpful to the patients that came in. The biggest problem was with the supervisors and management. They are the real assholes there. And yes anywhere you get a large number of employees you will have a few bad ones. But as an employee and as a patients I have been very pleased with the treatment I got from most of the Docs and nurses in the ER.
