Recently, the Daily Times published an article concerning the investigation of the DRILL Academy. What puzzles me, and countless others, are the quotes from Barrie Parsons Tilghman.
The Daily Times stated Barrie is, and I quote “seeking to expedite the investigation, Salisbury Mayor Barrie Parsons Tilghman has contacted the FBI in Washington, Maryland Sens. Ben Cardin and Barbara Mikulski and other agencies.” Why? Why is this any concern of hers? This has nothing to do with the city. Doesn’t she have enough to do running the city further into the ground? Not only is she spending time writing letters to quench her thirst for revenge, a source far more credible than Barrie or any of her minions allege Barrie and her Chief have spent some time on a road trip to Annapolis paying a visit to the Comptrollers office to bring the charge of perjury against Joe Albero. Was revenge part of her campaign promises? If she can’t shut them up or shut them down, Barrie will abuse the power of the office of the mayor to have it done. NEWSFLASH, you don’t have that much power Barrie, in fact, you are the laughing stock of the MML, well you AND Gary Comegys, to be fair here.
She goes on to say "We must do everything in our power to see that these incidents are fully adjudicated, as the deputies involved are still in law enforcement in different areas of the country," wrote Tilghman in a letter sent to FBI Director Robert S. Mueller on July 28.” This statement tells me, without a doubt, someone at WCSD has really pissed Barrie off for her to go to this extreme. Like Stu Leer, she is still getting even with him. His crime against Barrie is/was to not support her when she ran for office in 1998. This woman has no shame or conscience. So, who was it that pissed in Barrie's Corn Flakes? Time will tell it always does.
“Tilghman said Wednesday that a lack of resolution after more than three years of investigations at the local, state and federal level is worrisome.” Barrie, we feel your pain. After more than TEN years of you at the helm, many are frustrated at the lack of resolution by you and your minions on any of the major issues in this city.
It worsened the “good ole boy network” you campaigned against, making it a machine of political revenge. Crime is out of control, coming into our homes, robbing old men, molesting children, and raping and beating women. You appointed an environmental task force AFTER planning pipes to further pollute the Wicomico River.
You want to shine some light, Barrie? You want to be in the spotlight, Barrie? Well the spotlight is on you and it may not be shining the light you want.

You ask why she is doing this. Simple answer--publicity. She thinks having her name in the paper is cool. And once this is resolved, she will try to take credit for the resolution. Then she can tout her lapdog Bubba for mayor and brag about how he will continue her good work. NOT!
Salisburians (and others):
Both of our Senators have local offices. Let them know what you thing about the waste of City funds and assets on the drill academy. Please -- do so before the Democrat convention next week when they may come face to face with Barrie Tilghman -- she's an alternate delegate committed to Hillary Clinton.

She is doing this because the lack of crime in Salisbury has made Mayoring very boring.
No doubt the FBI recalls Barrie's effort to "get even" with Bill Duvall, too, and now has her on the loonies list where she belongs.

Time to direct attention at her from now until the election, or until Bubba declares his candidacy (which will mean that she won't run).

Did you catch the comment (paraphrased) that she made that when her top law enforcement officer (chief) says that something needs light on it she follows through? What about all the years that he said SPD needed more officers, higher salaries and more resources to effectively do its job? She consistently cut POLICE spending out of her budgets to the detriment of the city. She is an absolute hypocrite and joke!
Barrie is self-image obsessed--she is also trying to divert attention away from her own disasterous situation in the City. She is so very predicable on this--she does it every single time. She thinks we are children whose eyes can be taken away to keep us from focusing on her unacceptable City administration. We will not be fooled.
I'd like to know why she is trying to push the hands of Senators and the FBI as well as the Attorney General. Who is she going after this time? Why did she include the NAACP in her letter? Is she trying to incite another race riot? Is she pandering to the black vote? Black folks aren't stupid, they can see what she has done for them in the past 10 years...NOTHING.
This kind of publicity is not good publicity for her.
How was she able to remain in office for 10 yeats without the support of the voters. I see Pocomoke is supposdly disatisfied with it's council and Mayor, as is Salisbury. In my thinking Princess Anne Commissioners and Manager should be added to the list. They are spending more money than they are taking in. How smart are they to want to purchase a water/sewer system for the town, when they were unable to hook up water and sewer to the Garland Hayward Park because they did not have the funds.

Do you really think the FBI gives two craps about the Drill Academy? Wait, let them drop the search for real criminals (like Chiefy should be doing in the 'bury) and terrorists (such as yourself), money launderers (such as yourself), racketeers (such as yourself), extortionists (such as yourself), child molesters, and so on and so on...just so you can divert attention off of yourself you p.o.s.
Keep your eyes open, somebody may be watching and investigating you for your short comings and wrong doings! Haven't you learned yet, the Drill academy is over and done with....they were cleared and are on their way to a better life!

I think the mayor and everyone else f**king our city up should have to wade in the river directly in front of where the pipes drain out. Maybe then something will be done about the pollution and visual disgrace of our downtown!!
