DEEPLY DISAPPOINTED DELEGATE IN DENVER

[a Sbynews exclusive report]

Our source in the Maryland Delegation at the Democratic National Convention has
sent this message, which appears verbatim below.

It’s plain to see that the party of Jefferson has become the disaffected being
conned disgustingly by the disingenuous. The leadership has almost completely
adopted the Obama-Clinton ploy of promising anything and everything to get
candidates nominated and elected without any possibility of delivering such
things as free healthcare and college education along with tax rebates.
Moderate liberals are no longer welcomed by the party apparatus.

Hillary’s highly scripted and overly staged speech was sickening in both its
substance and its effect on the audience of acolytes. Her posturing to make
nice to Obama made me gag. Of course she did not apologize for her numerous
slurs about him made during the primary campaign. Many of her loyally followers
assembled here this week are actively forming local “PUMA” groups to try to
defeat Obama, by voting for McCain, in order to provide a better stage for a
Hillary comeback four years from now.

I may not stay until the grand finale on Thursday -- I've had enough of
the "Change You Can't Believe In" charade -- but I’ll be there tonight to hear
the world’s greatest living snake oil salesman speak and listen to Biden
plagiarize once more. And you can bet I’m catching it from someone for my
expose about the Barrie-Hillary episode.

P. S. Sorry I forgot to send this before going to bed last night; the altitude
here is really affecting me more than this Democrat debacle.

Maybe you'd have a better time in Denver without that elephant sitting on your head.

Hello Salisbury:

You’ve probably heard of Soccer Moms, but this time around, this election shall be determined by PUMAs… We might not be as organized as the GOP or the DNC, but by golly, whomever has our vote shall be in the White House come January 20th…

Hint, it isn’t going to be Osama Bin Laden, I mean Obama and Biden.

It’s official. We are a large coalition of forces with one purpose in mind. We will not support Obama for President under ANY circumstances. So please pass this information along to everyone. NOBAMA! PUMA!

PUMA stands for "Party Unity, My Ass" -- a coalition of voters who believe the Democratic Party primary process is deeply flawed and that Democratic Party leaders have underestimated the seriousness of opposition to Obama. The group rallies around the conviction that Hillary Clinton was forced out of the race by party insiders and unfair news coverage, and members look to the day when a national watchdog of some sort would point out and combat sexist reporting in the media.

Insider buzz is that the disgruntled Hillary delegates are using their time together in Denver to organize a PUMA network of local groups to further the cause. Don't be surprised if Barrie Tilghman becomes a PUMA princess between now and early November (behind the scenes, of course).

That dynamic duo (Bill & Hill) are killing the O-man softly this week.

PUMAs, the strategy to get Hillary in in 4 years will only serve to give the GOP fodder in 4 years that Hillary is a divisive force in this country. You are proving them right and I say this as a Democrat who respects her.

With that respect, I will paraphrase what she said so eloquently last night -- did you work just to support me or to support what I stand for and to support the American people?

That she asked for her supporters to turn their support to Obama and people like you are saying NO sounds very bitter and personal, not in the interest of the country (how much more in the toilet will our great country be in 4 years?), and for someone supporting Hillary so loyally, now you are turning against her wishes that you support Obama? This seems like a very contradictory stance and actually is disrespectful to the person you claim to support so much.

Wow!! Osama Bin Laden.. I bet he hasn't heard that one before.

And I thought it was about the issues.

Nice made up post. Your stamp is all over it. Imaginary source. You'll go to any lengths to get four more years of madness and suffering, eh Joe? It won't work this time.

VOTE RON PAUL

Wow,
This must be true as someone wrote it on the internet...

this country has gone to shit in the past eight years, yet you right wingers still think that continuing the same failed policies will work... McCain is no different than Bush... open your eyes

If this is real (and I don't think it is any more "real" than the Barrie-Hillary episode posted and referenced), then just who did this "delegate" go to represent? Edwards? Because the post doesn't sound like a Hillary supporter if they were ready to gag. Reactions among her supporters may have been mixed, but this doesn't ring true.

So, this is either a plant or just fully fiction because anyone going to that convention thinking there would be a different event than what took place is the exception around which Republicans are building the stereotypes of Democrats.

Reads like a divide and conquer post by the GOP. The logic of the rant doesn't fit.

What? Joe lie to make a point? Can't imagine that happening.

I was hoping the democratic convention would have some local representatives from our area that made us proud. Its a shame that someone like council woman Prettyman couldn't have represented the local agriculture contingent because she sure has themelons and other sphere like fruit covered. By the way Joe, thanks for doing such a fine job of keeping us shore residents abreast of local and national issues!

If you really were a Hillary supporter who know will vote for McCain because you are upset, you are a moron. I was a Hillary supporter, but I am smart enough to look at the different platforms between McCain and Obama. McCain promises more of the same (he is an old, white, Republican man--what else would you expect), and Obama will bring at least some change to the system. Seriously, pay attention to what Hillary said last night and grow up. She is throwing her support behind Obama and you should, too. You don't win any moral high ground if McCain wins the election. Imagine how stupid you will feel if McCain gets elected and the country continues on its crappy path from the last 8 years. Think about it, grow up, and vote Obama.

Please, tell more about Barrie-Hillary episode. Alas, I know not.
