They used it for a sub-base on the Walmart/Sams Club construction sites. I think it was used on Lowes as well, not sure about that one.

Used as a subbase they saved money on using fill dirt, then they covered it with CR-6 and then they put the asphalt down on top of that. The winter/early spring before Walmart opened it was very very wet. They put the black top down on top of water which is a major no no. I forget the site superintendents name all I can remember right now is George. He worked for IA Construction.

Joe Wicomico County used thousands of tons of fly ash in the construction of the new cell of the landfill. Many trucks hauled this material for months from late '06 into early '07

Joe:

Please direct us to any law or official regulation that was both in effect when that was done and violated by the work you mention -- it seems that others have also used fly ash for fill -- including Wicomico County.

You people blow my mind, you here something and look for the bad in it. If they use ash as a base it is mixed, be it with fill dirt, asphalt, or whatever. Fly-ash is a cost of having the luxury of ELECTRICITY, go figure there is a by-product, your car is a luxury and it puts off smog, but you still drive it everyday without concern, if you dont like what they are doing with fly-ash and your not going to shut off your electric, SHUT_UP. If these people were magicians they could make it dissappear, as well as make all the others issues in the world go away
