There Is Some Excellent Logic Here...
OPEC sells oil for $130.00+ a barrel.
OPEC nations buy U.S. grain at $7.00 a bushel.
Solution: Sell grain for $128.00 a bushel.
Can't buy it? Tough Sh*t! Eat your oil!

Sir:
That sort of reasoning is now called "Bubbanomics" after its founder in the City of Salisbarrie.
You see, there's a "world market" in both commodities. Neither is the only producer or consumer, respectively, of oil or grain, so the receiving nation would simply shift to another producer, and the output from the other would go elsewhere, with some but only minor price change as a consequence (due to different shipping cost, etc.).
Thats a great idea, thats why it wont work. The congressional crooks wont let it happen, it'll mess up their inside trading and their share of the profits. Taxes pay their gas bills and car payments, their not hurting like the rest of us. They know Bush is on the way out and he isnt going to take the time to help us. It's like this in nearly every last term, look at gilgrest...it's like their on vacation and leaving us to fend for ourselves as the suer crooks rear their greedy heads, they should all be hung as traitors!
Years ago when the US made its deal with Russia for our wheat, don't remember what the trade off was. What I do remember is Johnny Carson saying "While Russia is eating the breakfast of champions, WE are eating the lunch of chumps". The price of a box of cereal and everything else that is made with wheat skyrocketed at that time. What do you think is going to happen to the price of food now that farmers world wide are producing corn and soybeans for fuel? What will the price of bread be now that they are using wheat to make wall boards? We'll be able to drive and build but we'll all be to malnourished to provide a days labor.
Does anyone else find it rather amazing that after all of these years knowing our fuel sources are being depleted Toyota suddenly produces a vehicle that is solar powered, getting 100mpg? Why was'nt this technology available before this current crisis? Greedy bastards!
This technology has been available for years, much of the reserach initiated following the oil crisis of the 70's. Greed has kept it off the market. We have become a nation of individuals who are willing to sacrifice the security of our nation for the security of ourselves.
5:45: My made in U.S. Toyota gets over 35 miles to the gallon, as have all of them since the 1970s. Mileage has always been my MAIN consideration in choosing a vehicle. What do you drive? ? stupid bastards.
