Shanies Message to the Taxpayers and SPD
I don't pretend to know everything, what I do know is this woman needs to, immediately have her head examined. Are the rumors true? Did she move outside the city limits? They must be true. What other reason would there be to make a statement such as this? Listen as Debbie Campbell all but begs for additional safety personnel. Crime is Under Control

yeah well shanie supports, condones and is close friends with gang members drug dealers and such. Even giving drug dealers and their families the reassurance that the police will lose their case. How about you support YOUR police and city NOT the drug dealers

She must be out of her mind, she sure does say, "ITS UNDER CONTROL" what city is she living in? Please, I'm scared to leave for work in the morning, and leave the house at night, even more since last week when a female was chased down by her attacker. Maybe someone needs to chase her down beat her down and attempted to be rape her, then we'll see if she still feels that crime is down! Get her Debbie!
Shanie Shields is a disgrace to this city and her constituents. Does she even know who her constituents are? She should hang her head in shame making a statement such as she has on this audio. Those 3 words, "it's under control", just lost her reelection should she be stupid enough to run again.
If someone is very sure the drug dealers won't be targeting her, someone may think the city is safe. The rest of us are not in the good graces of the lawless, wanton thugs.

Unfortunately it is creeping out in to the county. I live just outside city limits (9 lots) and this past week someone tried to get into my neighbor's house and entered my son's vehicle and rummaged through it. I thought I locked it myself but not forced entry. Nothing stolen just ransacked.

The question to ask here is what is being asked? It's obvious the wives and officers have a bigger issue with hiring more officers than worrying about their pay. I think it is very noble and should be treated as such. If the walked on worn out officers can step up and ask for more help for the city rather than more money for themselves, it shows that there is something worth saving, not bashing.
Mayor and crew: get lost you have done enough damage.
I have heard that there are numerous officers looking elsewhere, even some veterans and ranking officers? I would like to know the truth on this.
Shanie is so dense--she can't even answer a question on her job at the newspaper. She definitely is a dim bulb.
We need to confirm her current residence and get her off the Council if she is not living in her District. Who can find out for sure?
It's not only the police asking for more help, SFD is begging for bodies. They don't even have enough people to meet safety requirements on their existing equipment. How the hell are they going to staff MORE, NEW equipment? Does the council majority or the mayor care? The answer is in their newly adopted budget. A resounding HELL NO.
Don't know if Shamie has moved or not. I seem to recall she was going thru a foreclosure, so it may be that she had no choice. If she is no longer in District 1, then she can't run for reelection next year. Too bad - NOT!

I would agree with you, It is very NOBLE of the SPD spouses to complain about the understaffing, it is totally understanding to want your other half home to spent family time. Nothing wrong with that.
However, I believe you are a SPD spouse, can you say "Damage Control," you are on this Blog throwing yourself a pity party so that everyone can say AWWWW, how NOBLE!!! Yes, I believe that the officers deserve more money, just like the Military does, they get shot at EVERYDAY, and also more officers! I also believe that our Mayor should FIGURE IT OUT, she needs to get it together find/fix the budget to GET IT DONE! Does she not realize that Polices officers are a necessity! What are we going to do if the SPD goes on Strike? What is the MARE waiting for!

Cathcart probably wants most of the SPD to quit, get her son in-law a promotion or maybe even be the next Chief.
9:02 pity party? I'm not a spouse, nor involved with SPD at all. Just an old outside LEO giving his opinion. Stating facts. Who's side are you on by the way? Agree then belittle. Go away.
