Come On Bike Week!

Now that I've picked up my Harley Fat Boy in Ocean City, I'm ready to roll! I have missed my old Road King and with gas rising like it has been, I'm ready to beat the system once again! Are you doing anything to cut back on gas? I know Donna just sold her big SUV. Here's a good question. Are the Car Dealers screwing people who own large trucks or SUV's when they trade them? Are they telling you there's no resale value after they stuck it to you when you bought it? Are they offering below Blue Book trade-in value?

Joe,
I love that teal blue color on your bike! We're looking for a bike for me to ride myself and I keep being drawn to that beautiful nostalgic color!
And yes, we are using the bike as much as possible these days!

Albero on a motorcycle, now chiefy will be confused, he doesn't know what you're driving until you park under the SPY CAM on the Taylors building, as it is. How will you ever carry your camera and laptop on that thing? Shoulda got another Road King, dude.

That's why I'm riding my bike for more than just pleasure. Also why I'm looking for SUVs sold by their owners. It's a racket, they draw you in with low interest rates and don't want to give you anything for your like new, low mileage trade int.

I got a buy back invitation from Courtesy Chevrolet recently. I called them and told them I'd happily sell them this SUV. They need to build their used car inventory is what the invitation states. You would not believe what she offered me. I could get as much by selling it to the junkyards. Needless to say, I didn't accept the offer and I won't be buying anything from Courtesy again.

Car dealers are currently not using black book/blue book pricing because its several weeks behind actual trade reporting. What they are using are the actual auction reports such as Manheim Online etc., where up to the minute intra- dealer buying amd selling information is available. Believe me those big gas guzzlers are not worth much no matter what someone paid for it last year. It may help to look at it from a standpoint that its 20 dollars more this summer to fill up the tank of one of these beasts then last year. I don't think anyone signs a purchase agreement at gunpoint.

There is NO demand for gas hogs.
Those that want to trade will
suffer even more as time goes on.
Gas prices will not go down until
demand goes down , if ever. Don't
like the color , but I do like the bike. Visit Tin Man Customs on
Nanticoke Road , he will do that bike some good.

2 Benz's in the shed and a hog. You don't seem to be employed as you're always on the Internet writing this blog. What the hell do you do for a living or are you retired with money?

Joe, nice bike. I have a 01' Fat Boy...its like an anti-depressant on wheels. See you on the black top!

I didn't like them at first, but I have come to like the Canary Yellow Harley's. Fat boys are nice for long trips, lot more comfortable. If I got one it would be for an occasional cruise to relax thru the Cypress forest and catch a few bugs in my teeth LoL

As I said in a comment on another discussion I'm actually looking to pick up a bike to toy around on a bit, sort of eyeing a Kawasaki 900 Custom in Lime Green, guess we'll see ...

OK - I have a Ford Excursion - that is my smallest vehicle.

It is going nowhere.

I get 21 mpg in a one ton truck.

If (heaven help) a Smart (or not so) Car pulls out in front of me, I will think it is a speed bump.

Big and safe with great lieage regards,

puhleez

Looks like a 560 SLC and SEL lurking in the background. How about the way the SLC hands you the seatbelt?

Thats a SEC. The SLC was the permanent hardtop SL series.
