That place was a flipping dump. Good food, but absolutely disgusting.

My Grandmother took her grandkids out to eat every Saturday night and we ate at English Grill at least once a month, right there by Giant. This was early eighties, and I recall the food being awesome!
If I am not mistaken, you can still get English recipe chicken from Bay Country in Salisbury.

Alot of nostalgia with that place. I can remember having breakfast with my dad there back in the sixties . They had the best hotcakes. The place had character, unlike the restaurants of today Besides it wasn't filthy then.

We used to go there on Sundays after church for an early dinner. Long before they added the dining room on. Waitresses were friendly, accomodating and their personal appearance was nothing less than neat and clean. Chicken was always fresh from the kettle. Those were the days.

salisbury was neet and clean then you could stop by a Banks market and leave your keys in the car while you were in the store. We used to leave the screen door poen and the house unlocked when we went to ocean city .
