I notice that there is nothing on the council agenda in reference to National Police Week, or any attempt to honor the City Police Officers who have been decorated for bravery and lifesaving. Not that the firefighters don't deserve to be recognized, but what's fair is fair, and the mayor doesn't do squat for the police dept. Everybody loves a firefighter, who gets to save lives. Maybe we forget that police officers not only save them, but are entrusted with the responsibility to take them as well. That's a whole other level. Congrats to the firefighters and thank you for your service. Here's to the police officers who sacrafice and give, without the recognition that they deserve.

Ok people, tonight is the night for everyone to be at this meeting. A couple weeks ago, we all said that Joe shouldn't just be the one take the punches. Stand up, step out and be at the meeting.
