Jury Awards $1.769 Million To Daughter Of Man Killed In Collision With A Fire Truck

A Kansas City, Kansas jury awarded $1.7 million to the daughter of a man killed in a collision with a Kansas City fire truck in a case that exposed the cover-up of numerous procedure violations by the fire department in the case of Sabrina Bacerra, a minor, Natural Dependent Daughter and Legal Heir of Aaron M. Bacerra, et al v. Unified Government of Wyandotte County, Kansas City, Kansas.

This was a drunk going on duty and violating traffic laws to boot. Hebron was a EMT going on a call and a unattentive driver pulled into his right of way. Wayyyy different!!!

I enjoyed the discussion about the kid on his way to the fire in OC...I would hope that some of the readers and commenters would have learned something about these behaviors. Unsafe driving is dangerous...kids killed in Delmar last night, for example. When you're an emergency responder and you kill someone on the way to an emergency, they're just as dead.
