I think it's unfair to post this as a post, because is writer is obviously slow. I have never seen such horrific grammer in all my life. Nurses have an education and use good grammar when writting.

Mr. Lewis is a confessed felon, which in my opinion is worse than an indicted felon or a convicted felon. Someone indicted could be found not guilty, someone convicted could have been innocent but a confessed felon leaves no doubt about his actions. If Salisbury allows a man like this to sponsor a festival celebrating our city, we should be wondering what dirt he's got on the Chamber of Commerce.

You know, it just sounds like to me, Ray has everyone in his pockets, just for them allowing him to sponsor an event like that. BTW - doesn't anyone else think if you are caught doing the things he did, their business license should have been pulled, and never re-issued?

You are obviously passionate about your position and a loyal friend. No one can fault you for that. Sometimes good people get themselves into trouble and it means alot to have their true friends stand by when the going gets tough. We all hope to have those kinds of friends when faced with adversity. And we all will have our trials and tribulations-some of our own doing, and some beyond our control.
However, Mr. Lewis is an adult, had made a mistake, committed a crime(allegedly or admittedly)and must pay the consequences. First of all, he definitely should make restitution to the county coffers. Second, he needs to pay whatever penance the court dictates.
Thirdly, there will be a period of time whereby this damage to his reputation will persevere. That is just the way it is. Perhaps down the road Mr. lewis can restore whatever reputation he had prior to this mess. But for right now, I think in light of all the negative publicity, I don't think it fair to cast yet another cloud of controversey over an event that is supposed to celebrate Salisbury. In case you haven't noticed, Salisbury has enough of a thunderhead hanging over its head;it doesn't need more. Mr. Lewis needs to chill for now and not do anything to draw attention to himself. Good or Bad. People are upset, and I am sure you can understand that as well and the reasons why.

There are the Nancy Nurse figures for instruction. Then there are other connotations of that term.
They should give the money back to Mr. Lewis. He has admitted he has done wrong. It is money received from stollen products of the county and should go back to the county where it came. The Chamber of Commerce should have known better. The City of Salisbury should have known better. What kind of example are we setting for our childeren? I think it is horrible. He knew what he was doing when he was stealing and he still did it.

Trying to be fair to the folks at the Chamber of Commerce, these "sponsorships" were committed to months ago. Which means that Lewis was using stolen money but had not been caught yet, so the Ch of C couldn't have known. Lets see how they handle it now before we decide to boycott this fun event. Fair is fair. The other vendors have (hopefully!) done nothing to deserve this wrath.
