While the Mayor got on PAC14 last night and announced their calculations were wrong, they had only spilled 5,000 gallons of sewage into the River, not 173,000 gallons, the MDE expressed just moments ago, they're highly suspicious.
Actually, what bothers me even more is, the Mayor claimed it was only 5,000 gallons, yet their report to the MDE now claims it was only 4,400 gallons. You see, it's been my experience that when someone is lying, their numbers are all over the place, get my drift?
The idea that the Mayor didn't get on PAC14 last night and simply say it was 4,400 gallons and not 5,000, I already smell something that stinks! While speaking to the MDE, they agreed, "why would they send in a report at 173,000 gallons when it's allegedly only 4,400 gallons?" I'll add, even the MDE agreed, 4,400 gallons spilled more than likely would have never made it to the river! It's not enough of a spill.
The City is now claiming they had a faulty FLOW METER. It must be the same meters that are telling the City how much water is actually being used in every one's homes!
Oh well, no matter what is said and done, while this Mayor, Barrie Tilghman is in Office, you cannot trust a word out of her mouth, period! RIGHT MR. CALDWELL? "I see he's shaking his head yes."

This smacks of the "Barrie Factor": now claiming faulty flow meters. Yep, that's our Barrie. Hope all noticed the tell-tale signs of Barrie-spin last night (stuttering, nervous, looking here, looking there, attempting humor)
I thought the news article on the spill stated the created a dam and contained most of the spillage that way.
First of all does Barrie Tilghman have to YELL into the microphone every time she pontificates on the podium? She is the quintessential bully that has to talk LOUDER than everyone else. The discrepancy in the timeline of the spill is troubling, combined with the extreme error in number of gallons reportedly spilled is extremely fishy. Something is really really wrong here.
City staff (Pick, Oland, Caldwell, Webster) are all Bobble-head dolls---"see Mr. Caldwell is shaking his head 'yes'". Hey, hey, hey.
So the possibility is that 173,000 gallons did spill but the meter only showed 5000? Good lord, we need to get to the bottom of this sh$%.
Get ready for this:
In another 24 hours Barrie will be claiming that there was no spill and blaming it on the Dirty Dozen!
Does Mr. Caldwell want to keep his job and get that raise next year.
Why, would you believe, he's still shaking his head, "YES, MAYOR, HOW HIGH MAYOR."
If, after all of this time you must ask the question of who is lying, it is time to shut this blog down. We all know who is lying and who ordered the lies be told.
For some 17 years I had meters for various properties that varied in use for up to 1.5mil gallons per month and I'm talking alot of meters and we had them recalibrated periodically and never found one to be off more than 1 gal per 100,000 flowed for a meter to be this faulty is impossible!!!!!!! Barrie Tilghman is a LIAR!
Barrie is the classic dictator -- surrounded by "yes" men and women.
A somewhat unrelated observation---did anyone else feel there was a weird vibe from everyone at the council table last night?

The more you drink the louder you get.
Yes, I agree that there is obviously quite a bit wrong with the story Barrie tried to tell us last night. What about the folks down Allen-way who said they smelled sh$$ all the night before?
How could they smell it if only 4,400 gallons were spilled? Sure seems to be a rather "fishy" story here.

Yes, there were weird vibes from the council table last night.
Yes, Barrie sounded nervous as a cat reporting on the spill.
Yes, citizens need to stay on top of what's going on with this city.
That's my version of being a "yes man."
Just what the city needs, another bobble head.
