A Comment Worth Posting

"The Daily Times had a query in the "Hey You" section regarding Transparency in government. Herewith are my thoughts:

The city government in Salisbury loves and encourages transparency---Tonite's (Feb. 25) city council meeting was an excellent case in point-perfect to illustrate this principle. When council woman Cohen raised this very issue regarding the closed session to follow, it went straight to the business as usual 3-2 vote. Why was there no more discussion before a vote? Why wasn't the atty. Wilbur queried? Not that it would have made any difference . The majority on the council in addition to the mayor, Wilbur, Oland, Pick are a disgusting bunch. I do have to say however--more citizens need to become enlightened about what is going on. And make their voices heard come petition time and voting time.
Kudos to the lady who asked for the mayor to step down and for the other public comments."

IS the developer from Timonium or is it Tom Ruark? What happened in the closed session last night? And three cheers to the lady who got up and called Barrie out--thanks also to the regular watchdogs who were there. We citizens owe you a debt of gratitude!!

The developer is Tom Ruark, he transferred the property to Senior Sassafras LLC on Feb 19, 2008. As usual, the principals in the LLC are unnamed. More of Mike Dunns shenanigans? I'd bet so.

Read the DT article this morning. It explains how all of this subsidy to developers was done to help the elderly. Give me a break. Who does Tom Ruark know that wants him to be rich at the taxpayers' expense? Hasn't he had enough gulps from the public trough?

I believe we can attribute a more apt quote from ARRIANA HUFFINGTON:

PIGS AT THE TROUGH!!!!!
