SHOULDNT THESE GUYS BE WEARING SOME SORT OF PROTECTIVE DEVICES AT LEAST A HELMIT OR A HARD HAT EVEN THOUGH ITS NOT AN EMERGENCY I WOULD GET A COUPLE DAYS OFF FOR THIS AT MY JOB. A WOULD HATE TO SE SOMEONE GET HURT AND COST THE CITY MONEY FROM NOT FOLLOWING PROCEDURE

Helmit = helmet

cant tell if the guy at the tip is wearing a fall restraint but why start now. when they are on the roof at a building fire they arenot wearing any fall arrestors or restraints.
that would be funny i just fell off the roof but the fall arrestor has stopped me from crashing to the ground.... now im hanging by the window that has fire blowing out of it.

I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYONE TRY TO TEAR THE CITIZENS FROM THEIR FIRE DEPARTMENT.

All I can say is--If Ya Got It, Flaunt It! Hey, SFD, can some of the nice guys over there come here and fix my gutters? LOL.

I'll have to drive by and see their lights.

NO SCHOOL TODAY TEACHER? OR ARE YOU GETTING PAID TO COMMENT? DAM JOE I THINK YOUR VIEWERS ARE MORE WORRIED ABOUT SPELLING THAN WHATS AT HAND

Teacher may be retired, on a delay, taking a personal day, taking a sick day, or on a planning period. Geez, would you think before you post?

These guys are trying to decorate and make the firehouse nice for the holidays. Why do you have to take a negative approach to everything you do.

Anonymous said...

Yea, they are decorating the firehouse for Christmas...what's the problem with that? I would bet that alot of YOU decorate your workplace for the holidays.

I think it was said right. Trying to tear the FD from tehh citizens is all this is doing. It needs to stop, if any of you think Firefighting is a easy job, go try it. It is hard nasty, hot and not everyone can do it. They try to get into the spirit for the community and do good things and all you can do is rag them.

Dont through stones unless you are perfect, everyone of you do things at work during down time. Teachers have worked so hard of getting out of work they have a day off every other day it seems, and get paid for summer vacation. Must be a great union teachers.

JUST try Firefighting, be a volunteer. I bet half of you could not get through the training.

Leave the guys alone who do what no one else wants to. They could or may save your lives one day rsiking theirs.

Merry Christmas

How can the fire fighters miss the obvious humor in this article? Lighten up guys and girls. It was funny.

I thought it was funny too. I think Joe meant it to be funny. Like I said, I'll go take a look the next time I'm out at night.

Problem is you never know with Joe. He hates the city and some posts are awesome and others attack groups people. Everyone, and I mean everyone would back him on the Mayor he is 100% right. The PD, the FD and all city employees would, except department heads the suck ups.

So if you can figure out when he is joking and when he is serious you can have some fun.

Jesus, he was just teasing. I thought it was cute.

2:20 anonymous is right about it being hard to tell sometimes. This is where getting to know people helps. None of us here is likely 100% good at expressing ourselves in writing.

Some of the firefighters are feeling Joe attacks them about everything, so that's how they perceived this. But I don't think he meant this sarcastically.

I enjoyed it and didn't feel a single ounce of disrespect for our firefighters.

'Tis the season to be jolly!

Joe, you're just jealous because they can reach greater heights with the ladder truck and all you have to put your decorations up is a forklift. ROFL
