The SFD doesn’t have a place for blacks who speak their own language or hold their pants up with one hand. Around the fire station we usually say hello not yo man. Women make great wheel chocks in the fire service since they can’t seem to do much else. Thanks Joe for helping us out.
Ok, I have tried to refrain from commenting on your sight Jo but I can't take it anymore. Don't worry, unlike the coward who posted that comment, I'll put my name to this at the end. First of all Jo, I am not hear to attack you because I respect your right to free speech and opinions no matter if I agree with them or not. That is what this great country is all about so more power to you. I would however like to shed an opinion of my own respectfully. You say that Lt. Cropper, who is career is the ONLY BLACK PROFESSIONAL FIREFIGHTER in the Salisbury Fire Department. That I believe is not true. The word professional has many definitions from one who is paid for doing a certain job, to a person doing a job that needs special training. But I like to think that it has a deeper meaning such as one with good morals, character, tradition, respect, integrity, attitude etc, etc.... all of which Lt. Cropper portrays and so do the other BLACK PROFESSIONAL VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS for the Salisbury Fire Department. Thats is all I have to say about that.
Now for the sorry SOB's (thats SORRY SONS OF BITCHES FOR YOU STUPID ASSES) that have posted bad shit about Cropper. I have no doubt that some of you are so called "brothers" in the fire service but like every family, there are bad apples. You are no brother of mine and you are not welcome in our family. I have known Cropper for nearly 10 yrs. and I consider him a good friend who I have much respect and admiration for. I have spoke with Cropper about all this shit going on and it pains me to see my friend betrayed by the "brotherhood" he has been a part of for so long. He is no longer the same and I doubt he ever will be and I can't say I blame him. He stated to me he feels like he can't trust anyone in the SFD and painfully that means me as well. And to be honest that pisses me off. I do not know if he is but if I were him, I would be looking for other employment. That would be a huge loss to the SFD and not because he's BLACK but because he is the definition of PROFESSIONAL. It's time to lay off the man and stop taking cheap shots at him. Enough with the Haz-Mat incident!!!! Lets not forget there was a Incident Commander, Safety Officer and numerous other individuals that let him enter that Hotzone like that!!! Where is there resposibility and blame? I have been in the fire service long enough to know that nobody is perfect and your shit does stink.
As for the "women make good wheel chocks" comment. WTF is that? You Mr. Anonymous are an idiot and are a perfect example of a person that should have been a sperm stain in your daddys sock!! No more time needs to be wasted on you.

If these are your opinions, then you are entitled to them, however, we don't need your kind in our organization. You obviously have forgotten what the fire service is about. I have had the pleasure of working with Lt. Cropper since the mid 90's. I have always admired his dedication and professionalism to Emergency Services. His sense of humor has kept me in stitches for hours. Some of my most memorable moments of my 28 year career have been spent with Lorenzo. It has been sad to watch the post over the last few weeks and I'm sure they have cut deep. I do not know or care to know who wrote them. I do know that any idiot can machine gun post negative statements with a computer.Lorenzo is a valued member of this department and is loved and respected by his peers.The center of this storm has been promotions. The true value of a man is not his rank, but the number of friends and level of respect they have for him. You can't please everyone in this business.However the masses love and respect Lt. Cropper.

Correct me if I am, wrong, but Mr. O'Barsky did receive a promotion. Just a few short weeks ago, he was one of the people who Joe claimed did not deserve it. Now, it appears Joe is all over himself thanking this fire fighter. I was simply warning the gentlemen that yesterday's foe is today's friend and the cycle will continue. I have nothing to hide. I have am not married to a firefighter and I have no family in this department or any other. I don't fancy myself a "bimbo" as you so politely put it. My name is Karen Wells, Delmar, MD. ONE of the main reasons I might get the urge to call Karen a name, (like LIAR) is because there seems to be some women out there who get off putting words in some men's mouths. Sort of like Karen JUST DID! I Never Once stated any of those men didn't deserve to be promoted, she's a LIAR.
Boy, if there's one thing I hate about another human being, it's putting words into someone else's mouth.

I am assuming, that in Joe's mind, this means that the others were not eligible. Maybe he doesn't remember saying it, because he didn't actually write it. At least that's what he told me when I spoke with him on the phone about the comments he made regarding Darrin Scott.
Joe, I am not an anti-Albero blog. The only thing you will find that I have written about you has actually been in your defense. Otherwise, I have left the circus to you.
PS Joe, since you mention my children, turnabout is fair play? Perhaps you should look at your own situation before advising someone else how to raise theirs. As far as standing up for Chris? I do not condone his past behavior, but I admire him for manning up (something you often encourage others to do)and admitting his mistakes and sharing his story. I am not of the thought that people cannot change. In fact, I still hold out hope for you.

Like many OTHER Criminals, while incarcerated he found the Good Lord Jesus Christ and all his sins are forever gone, he's been healed.

Karen, have you ever smoked Pot? In all honesty, I have not. I never did drugs, call me boring. I drank beer some 15 years ago but I don't drink and haven't had one since 15 years ago.

Have my children ever smoked pot? I know one of mine has and I'm certain the other never has. I don't have an issue with my Son smoking Pot but let me assure you, he's no dealer. I think you are confusing the issues. Did Chris make a mistake? Sure he did. He was involved in some horrible situations with some horribel people. I am not excusing that. The Parent of my Grandson, who has ABSOLUTELY NO RELATION to Jennifer nor I had issues with drugs. Yes, this is why we have custody of this child. I'm not going to deny that. However, you've got way too much time on your hands. Give credit where credit is due Karen. I was retired and looking forward to spending the rest of my days ALONE with my Wife and a hammock. We turned our lives around for this child and I'll never look back. He truly is a gift and to know and see the difference in his little world is just the greatest reward ever. So retirement will have to wait a few more years. Actually, a LOT more years. That's OK, I'm cool with that.

I don't worry about you stalking me. I was advising the person who e-mailed you but refused to use a true name, that the name calling comments and derogatory comments were more likely to come from you rather than anyone else.

Chris and Bryan have stated things well. You two are true professionals who should be role models for people both inside and outside of the fire service. I have spoken to both of you recently about Lorenzo and we all want the same for him. We all need to pull together and help this man who has been trampled nearly to death by these posts and articles on this site.
I have a close friendship with Lorenzo and his family. I can't even imagine what they are going through by having this crap blasted across the airwaves. Lorenzo is well-respected across the state as a supperior paramedic and instructor. If my ass falls out and I need help he is one of the few that I would select to work on me. Heck, I would take the man over most Docs; he is that damn good. I owe alot of my knowledge to Lorenzo from my first EMT classes, through Paramedic classes, and on through to today. I have called this man every hour of the night to pick his brain for information. Lorenzo is a true friend, co-worker, and brother in the service.
Cropper, If you even read this site anymore let it be known that there are those of us that are here for you. We won't and don't stand for this crap. You know where I am and you know my number. I have never betrayed you nor will I ever. Your family is apart of mine and vice versa. You know that and so does your wife. It pains me to see you like this and to know what you used to be like. We all want the old Lorenzo back, if it's even possible; I don't know. I sure do hope and pray that you can look beyond this, as hard as it may be; and remember why you are in the fire service and remember that we are a family and we are here for you anytime.

Thanks Cris, for writing that article, my thoughts exactly, I like and respect Lorenzo and would go in a burning building with him as my partner any time. Dosen't matter if he is black or pink he is a Fireman and that is good enough for me. Lorenzo is a great guy please don't drive him away.
