FYI

Later Wednesday, Gansler released a letter to Harris asserting Collins did nothing wrong.

‘‘The Office of the Attorney General has long advised that a unit of State government and its officers do not need express statutory authority to advocate views on policy matters and to lobby on these issues, especially on those impacting their agencies,” Gansler’s letter reads.

Harris, a candidate for the 1st Congressional District, also presented an e-mail from Steve Kearney, O’Malley’s communications director.

It asked state officials to provide names of advocacy groups that had been ‘‘activated” over the budget debate. It also asked the officials to maintain a log of contacts.

Joe:

How come there's been nothing about this in the Daily Times?

Sorry, I forgot about Bassett's wife and who she works for.

Joe:

This is a HUGE story -- apparently our "newspaper" won't touch it -- so please don't bury it under the "police beat" posts.

I happen to think ALL of my stories today are better than what the Times put out.

The DT won't cover it, so what else is new? Your children can get harassed in threatened in school and they cover that up too.

Perhaps Mr. Harris would like to send me something directly on this story and I can update it?

Joe:

At present Dr. Harris is otherwise engaged -- thanks to your picture pal, Marty O'Money -- trying to kill some tax scams in Annapolis.

Give him the coverage that he and this breaking story deserve. The Daily Times is not going to because of Bassett's wife.

Joe -- you're the man!

Duvafiles isn't on this story because of his views about you and Harris; Delmarva Dealing isn't because it's now belly-up, and Monoblogue is so far out there that he probably hasn't seen it.
