Representative Maxine Waters (D-CA) said Sunday on MSNBC that the 2020 presidential hopefuls who are white had “blemishes on their record about their relationships with black people.”
When asked about 2020 hopeful Pete Buttigieg, Waters said, “You know, one’s record will speak for itself. If there are facts about what he has done or what he has not done, then he’s going to have to try and make people, you know, believe that he understands where he made mistakes and promises to do better and be able to articulate how he’s going to do even better than he’s done in the past.”
She continued, “But let me just say this; most white candidates live in white communities. They go to white churches. Their children go basically to white schools, etc., etc. So, you know, they all have blemishes on their record about their relationships with black people. And so the way they change oftentimes is if we are able to organize and to protest and to force them to understand what they’re not doing in terms of equality and justice and force them to have to recognize that and do the right thing.”

Teach your kids respect. Teach them to do well in school. Teach them that fighting and violence are the very last resorts to problem solving. Teach them that prison is NOT a badge of honor, nor is fathering (or mothering) several children by several partners is not a good thing, either. Teach them that being good at basketball and football is fun and instructive, but it is NOT likely to be your job in 5 years.
Teach them that women aren't "bitches". Teach them manners and social skills so they can cope in society and be productive.
Discipline bad behavior and reward good behavior.
Teach them that if they want to get rid of stereotypes, quit fulfilling them.
Just, PLEASE stop thinking that white people are the reason your culture is so f***** up and that you will never be, or have, anything unless you get more help and aid from white people.
It's your mindset that holds you down more than anything white people will ever do.....
Waters is a blemish on the congress.
If she was talking about me, she would be calling me a racist, but when she's talking about her fellow democrats, the language is so much softer and more gentle. "They mean well, but..."
