Once again Jake. The department and the city has been crying for a change over there and you consistently look the other way. From piss poor morale to the turnover rate of officers, lack of recruitment to now all the internal issues that will slowly be exposed. You honestly think a run for a LT governor position that someone would ever entertain the idea when you can’t see or FIX the issues in your own house. Grow a set. Be the leader you think you are and make the changes and fix these issues. Stop kicking the can down the road. You knew the problems at SPD and what we are facing daily. You could have fixed this long ago and maybe salvaged your political career. Let’s see how you handle this scandal.

If officers are involved the states attorneys office will need to place people on a Brady list. I wonder if that office has ever had to experience doing that to police before. If they have to, hopefully Jamie Dykes will do what’s right as the lead of an attorneys office.
Check the phone locations of Jake and his wife. Just sayin' what most logical people are thinking.
This is just the tip of the sword that Duncan is falling on. They also are being looked into for fixing Crime Stats, like changing a burglary to a mdop because it doesn't count as a part 1 crime. They have been reclassifying reported crimes since Webster was there to keep the numbers down. They know it, officers have refused to change reports that documented the crimes, and then shift commanders had to re-write the reports.
Jake better man up and kick her to the curb. Who cares if she is a female, who cares is she is liked for all of her handouts. This is about to end his political career forever.
There are many former and current commanders who had or should have had oversight into the quarterly property room inspections and Duncan herself needs to sign off also. I have no idea how the CALEA people missed this. How can you be certified with CALEA and have someone stealing from the property room for over a decade.
The answer is incompetence and laziness and they all should be forced to leave.

Funny how Barbara Duncan is trying to make it look like it was a "civilian" employee instead of a "sworn officer!" Don't forget that $hit rolls uphill when it comes to this kind of crime and negligence. Even if it was a civilian employee this so-called civilian employee answers to a sworn officer.
I was told by a very important person that this is going deep and it may really screw up many cases that will be challenged in court. You will be seeing a lot of criminals let out of jail because of this. Barb Duncan needs to step down and let the MSP do their job.

Jake won’t comment bc he knows he has made a huge mistake and not replacing her when he knew of all the issues. Everyone watch. Jake will do nothing to make a change. The only way he could salvage his political career is for Duncan to quietly walk away. But she won’t bc she becomes vested in October. Jake will do nothing but blame everyone else along with Duncan. If Jake was a true military commander, he would recognize that this is a command issue and she was responsible for this. She had and is responsible for the property room and inventory and I’ll bet it will show she just signed off on documents for yearly inspection. Something like this falls directly on her. Maybe not the internal relationships between supervisors and subordinates, but this does. Again. Jake will do nothing. But the positive outcome will be bc he does nothing, will destroy any hopes of ever being nothing more then a fail Mayor with a failed police department and fail political career that could have been salvaged if he would just listen.
It is called transparency, but you probably dont know what that means.

I dont believe this goes all the way back to 97. This is a plan by duncan,day,and dykes to make it it look like nobody else found it so why blame duncan. They continue to hide crime stats and downgrade crimes and day and duncan know it. Duncan needs to go.
It’ll be interesting when the SPD guys start to comment on what’s really been going on since they can be anonymous here.
