Young people are turning toward socialism, and to some extent, even communism.
At least, that’s what the results of the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation’s latest annual poll suggest. The survey was conducted by the reputable polling firm YouGov, and it surveyed a representative sample of 2,100 Americans.
The results are downright disturbing. The new data show that 64% of Gen Z and 70% of millennials say they’re likely to vote for a socialist. Meanwhile, 20% of millennials think the Communist Manifesto “better guarantees freedom and equality” than the Declaration of Independence.

THIS IS Y THERE HAS TOO BE A CIVIL WAR.
What did you think would happen? Corporations beholden to shareholders own everything, including elected officials. Driving wages down, and profits up. They have made the division betweens haves and have nots so far apart the game seems rigged. They have destroyed the middle class because they don't care about the middle class, they care about delivering profits to their share holders.
Younger people have access to information at unprecedented levels. They know the game is rigged against them. To get a good job they have to go to college which will put them in crushing debt... to get a job that will dramatically undervalue and underpay them while the people they work for make money hand over fist.
The system is rigged. Of course they are gonna vote socialist or even communist. What did you think would happen? The chokehold on labor vs business has just gotten tighter over the fourty years, and the divide between the have and the have not's has gotten larger. What did you think would happen?
This is the one and only success of the government education system.
Of course ! They graduate from Mommy and Daddy if they have them to looking for the next nurturing hand out.

That's exactly why Unions were organized in the late 1800's. They have lost their strength and numbers do to negative publicity and corruption, that actually has been minimal. If the American people want a decent wage and their share of prosperity, join or form a Union. It's the only way out of this hole corporate greed is pushing us into.
Because they are ill informed and are ignorant and naive and believe anything they are told. Their brain hasn't developed enough and they haven't experienced enough of life's experiences to make educated decisions.
The progressive liberal (euphemism for communists) education system has been diligently preaching tolerance and acceptance for 30 years and not much else really. These kids are ripe for thoughtless drivel and free stuff.
