National Security Council (NSC) official Alexander Vindman showed up to testify Tuesday as part of the Democrats’ closed-door impeachment inquiry into President Trump in full military uniform.
This is despite not wearing one to work every day at the NSC, according to several sources.
Although Vindman is a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army, he is serving an assignment at the NSC as the director for European Affairs. According to sources at the NSC, Vindman does not wear his uniform to work at the NSC, where the standard dress is business wear.
One source said he donned the uniform “just for show.” The source pointed out that Vindman was ironically wearing a presidential service badge on his uniform — as he testifies on his concerns about Trump’s handling of Ukraine policy.

Northwest Woodsman: Although wearing a combat infantry badge, looking at him and the lack of actual combat awards involving valor or heroism, he appears to be a total wimp and rear echelon desk jockey to me. They are the ones who back stab and cause issues for those boots on the ground operational types who have to find ways to get around obstacles presented by clowns like him.
Shifty Schiff’s Star Tuesday Witness, Alexander Vindman, Is Connected to Obama’s Russian Ambassador and Fusion GPS’s Glenn Simpson. If this is true that tells me all I need to know about this man and Schiff with his basement chamber of secrets.

8:45am - Where in the world did you ever get the idea that everyone in uniform is honest never tell a lie veteran. REALLY????? You sure have lived in a sheltered world then. Have you noticed a lot of people are corrupt in uniform rather it be veteran, police officer, fireman, etc. Granted there are many and I say about 90% but that other 10% can be had by anyone at any time. You certainly do not live in the real world of today.
Northwest Woodsman: Well, 8:45, I guess he could be called a”decorated” veteran, however, looking at the awards he is wearing indicates that he did not spend much time in combat if any. I admit that he is wearing a combat infantry badge which requires one month of serving in a combat environment which could actually be a division rear area and his Purple Heart could have been as simple as him stubbing his toe while running to a bunker during a mortar or rocket attack. Other than that he sports an army commendation medal along with what I call “I’ve been there “ medals which practically everyone receives. Bearing an army commendation as one of your highest awards is tantamount to admitting you are a failure as an infantryman. If I were him, I’d wear only the CIB, parachute wings and ranger tab and let others guess what awards I actually received. Plus, if he is a West Point grad, that would be doubly bad because they almost always “win” valor awards such as the silver star and bronze star. Being an actual combat veteran with thirty months of being shot at every day, I look at this individual with distain and I’m sure that every other knowledgeable combat vet would also.
PHS officers don't wear their uniforms on a daily basis, either.
