Lived there for a year in '70. The O's were great at Memorial stadium. We had Brooks and Frank, Palmer, and the "Blade". We had a basketball team named the Bullets! With Earl "The Pearl" Monroe. And the Golden arm of Johnny Unitas was on the way out. A new mall in Columbia, Maryland outside Baltimore near where we lived, was a big hit. I remember those businesses in the film. Many are still around. We had enough kids in our neighborhood to play 11 on 11 sandlot football. and 9 on each team sandlot baseball. A small basketball league with each street having it's own team. The News American I believe it was?, and the Morning and Evening Sun papers. Times were good, simple, fun.
