A man accused of trying to murder his father allegedly used a wrench to beat and torture him for four hours following an argument about his dead mother's $2 million fortune.
Jason Heyworth, 37, is on trial in New York for the 2017 attempted murder of his 71-year-old father Eric Heyworth.
During the trial in Manhattan Supreme Court on Wednesday, jurors were shown gruesome photos of the injuries the elder Heyworth sustained in the attack in June 2017.

Disgusting!!!
Probably years of that old man verbally bashing and degrading the guy. Sometimes people can only take so many years of being a proverbial toilet before they get tired of it and remedy the problem. I don't advocate for abuse of the elderly, but I can see where something like this could happen. All im saying is theirs more to this then one time the dude snapped.
Yep. Its the victims fault
He wanted Mom's money.
I'm totally against this ridiculous actions but @10:27 you do have a valid point. After spending 40 years listening to and just taking an alcoholic father's verbal and emotional assault I could understand someone of little coping skills just snapping
The little 22 caliber in my pocket would have stopped that nonsense. That's right, I don't live in MD anymore.
I bet that's one night of sex this man wishes he never had.
10:27 & 12:33 That 37 year old punk is probably still living at home without a job. The old man was saying what needed to be said for the umteenth time. At 37 that "boy" had the option to move the hell out as soon as possible and not subject himself to that "verbal abuse".

Did you read the article? He had moved out....spent all the money his mother left him and wanted to move back in with his dad. If he had been abused as someone said why would he want to move back in with him? This is just another entitled little punk that wasted his own money and thought he could get more. Hope he enjoys his stay in prison.
