An aide to President Trump said that the Baltimore region has squandered billions of dollars in federal grants given by the administration.
‘President Trump has given $16billion in 2018 alone to Elijah Cummings’ district in federal grants,’ Lynne Patton, a regional administrator with the Department of Housing and Urban Development, told Fox News on Monday.
‘We have given more money in homeless funds to Baltimore than the last administration’ as well as ‘community development grants,’ according to Patton.
She then took Cummings and the city leadership, including Mayor Bernard Young, to task, asking: ‘What are you actually doing with the money so that it benefits residents in the community for once instead of deep-pocket, crooked politicians?’

Here's how it works for Cummings folks. Grants are awarded to contractors who are friends of Elijah Cummings.Cummings is in charge of the Oversight Committee. Once they get the contracts they in turn donated funds to his wife's primary foundation. She in turn transfers fund to her LLC business which she uses as personal funds for her daughter and her husband. Where is the money going? Certainly not to the citizens of Baltimore!
Actually, I don't think it was the President, per se, that gave the money.. it was Congressionally-appropriated money, but the point remains that they got big bucks and have little to show for it.
THAT is the issue.
that whole bunch needs to be throughly investigated by competent investigators that will be honest in their findings, then heads need to roll right into prison!

Coorect. How can the Democrats call Trump's comment to Cummings racist? First of all Trump did not refer to Baltimore as Black - the Democrats assumed it was racist because Baltimore is mostly black. Who is the racist?
What’s interesting about this $16,000,000,000 is if you divide that number by $250,000, Baltimore could have paid all costs associated with bulldozing 64,000 rat infested and abandoned homes and replaced the same with 64,000 new homes.
Great point 8:37 The sad fact is has anyone taken a close look at some of the Habitat Houses after about 5 months. So my point is 64,000 new well built houses will not fix the problem. Being poor is a condition not a disease. There is no excuse to live in filth. Water is free and soap is cheap. This ignorance being displayed by educated Americans that we can expect the Police,Social Services and hell the Government to fix the ignorance displayed by the sub culture of a culture. It is too late to fix much of it. I grew up in those projects. The only hand out you need is the one that helps you up when you stumble and fall. No more free shit that does not work. Elijah Cummings has been lining his pockets for years just like every other politician. America has lost her way. Some people just can not handle freedom and truth. People need to see that all this race baiting and political turmoil is just a diversion so we do not pay attention to all those on Capitol Hill getting rich. They should hang every Judge,Lawyer and Politician in this country and start over. Kids idolizing filthy rich athletes and movie stars. Who really gives a rats ass what Lebron or Mellisa Malono have to say. One throws a ball through a hoop and the other is a washed up t.v. personality since when do they become scholars in Americas problems. Yep history has a way of repeating itself and if we as Americans that means all of us regardless of race or economic background do not pull together this country is destined to fail. Time to let God take the lead.
