Walmart reveals salaries — and they may not be what you think

Walmart revealed average worker salaries in a new report, as the low-cost retailer battles a reputation for low pay in one of the tightest job markets in recent American history.

A full-time hourly worker in a Walmart store in the U.S. makes an average of $14.26 an hour, or around $25,000 a year, according to the company’s 2019 Environmental, Social & Governance Report released on Wednesday. That’s the average, but the range is $11 an hour to $24.70 an hour, Walmart spokesman Kory Lundberg told ABC News.

At Walmart, 34 hours a week is considered full-time, and most workers average 37 to 38 hours weekly, the company said. Health insurance is provided for employees who work at least 30 hours a week, Lundberg said.

In the U.S., Walmart store managers earn an average of $175,000 a year, according to the report. Their actual salaries are based on sales volume and the size of the store, Lundberg said.

So if 25k a year is a lot how come Walmart workers have such bad attitudes?

They are supposed to do what I did work two jobs if that's what it takes! I owned my own business for 30 years and we started out with no money making ends meet and working 100 hours a week. I never went to college and pursued my dream for my entire life. Hard work is what people need to teach the that being a complainer or a malcontent will get you nowhere!

No. Ask the employees that Jake Day forced out on disability. Ask them what it's like not being able to pay their bills month to month. Not all of us has a daddy to pick up our slack like Jake does. We are stuck in this shithole because of Democrats like Jake Day and Jim Ireton and rubber stamped by Jack Heath and Muir Boda.
