WASHINGTON—House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told reporters Wednesday night she “doesn’t care” if the Secret Service said it was prepared to appropriately secure the State of the Union address despite the partial government shutdown.
Instead, she stood firm in her resolve to delay the January 29 event until the government completely re-opens.
In a letter to President Trump, Pelosi claimed the lack of funds to Homeland Security posed a risk to the White House and the Congress during the event, but the Department of Homeland Security Sec. Kirstjen Nielsen released a statement refuting that. She shared that statement in a Tweet:

She could use the cost of her & her delegation to fly around the world for the security of SOTU. and still have time to negotiate the wall / barrier and opening up the Government. She is another idiot liberal socialist that cannot control her own party. She is turning the US into Venezuela.

I have a thought on another subject. I saw where the President signed a bill the other day to make sure these federal workers who didn't get a paycheck will be paid back pay. Does this apply to all workers? Even the ones on furlough? And if so, what happens to all the ones who are going to get food stamps and unemployment until the government opens again? Do they pay that back when they get their "back pay?" I never realized until the shut down how many government employees live in subsidized housing. What is up with that? The article I read stated that the cost of living was just "too high" and that was the only way they could afford to live around DC. The cost of living is too high for a lot of people to live around anywhere but that doesn't mean we all get subsidized housing.

Seems she is so afraid for the safety of the congress, and in particular her own, but could care less about the safety of the rest of the country. TRY TELLING THAT TO THE ANGEL FAMILIES.
nancy wants to make sure that she is well protected at the SOTU, but doesn't give a damn about Us, the Americane Citizen, the ones that pay her salary. We don't have the luxury of a personal body guard to protect us from harm or even death. State & local police don't have the resources to protect everyone all the time. Punishment by the judiciary system is the main tool for enforcing the law, and that is failing us "at all levels". In fact if nancy did care about the general population, she would be pro 2nd amendment and stop trying to disarm the law abiding citizens. She only cares about herself, the democratic party, and most of all destroying President Trump.
Planned trip for today on commercial but she is pissed along with the delegation because their plans were leaked. So they can use this cost of their security and private commercial cost for security of the SOTU address.

Nancy is on a high right now since she won Speaker of the house again. I believe she stated she is more important than the President. She is trying to rule American and go around Trump. Wrong thing to do. Americans can see what she is up too. Americans don't need the media to convince us otherwise. Dems think taxpayers are stupid that we don't get it . She is a very sorry ugly within person who should go home and enjoy her grandkids. She doesn't have a lot more years at her age.
