Troopers Charge Georgetown Man with 7th DUI

Greenwood – The Delaware State Police have charged Felix Robledo, 52, of Georgetown with his 7th DUI offense after he was involved in a single car crash, late Saturday night.

At approximately 10:30 p.m., Saturday, January 12, 2019 Troopers were dispatched to Beach Hwy., east of Blacksmith Shop Rd. in Greenwood in reference to vehicle that ran into a ditch. Upon arrival Troopers made contact with Robledo who was confirmed to be the driver and sole occupant of a 2003 Toyota Camry that had traveled off the roadway into a ditch. While speaking with Robledo Troopers detected a strong odor of alcoholic beverage and initiated a DUI investigation.

The subsequent investigation determined that Robledo was impaired at the time of the crash and that he also had 6 prior convictions for DUI. He was transported to Troop 5 where he was charged with DUI (7th Offense), No Proof Insurance and Fail to Drive at a Speed Appropriate for Conditions. He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court #3 and then committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu of $22,000.00 secured bail.

Does this guy need to do harm to an innocent before finally being incarcerated? Couldn't they deem his car a dangerous weapon when driving impaired?

Delaware's justice system is just waiting for him to kill someone. Until then, they'll give him a few months in the slam, remove his license and little else. If there was anyone who deserved an ankle bracelet...

Are you sure this blog is not about our Salisbury Mayor Jake Day? Repeat offender according to his past DUI's?
