Didn't know this. I checked my office stapler, but there is no place under the rubber base for storage.
Saw this a few weeks ago. Also didn't know this and I'm 56.
I have a Swingline office stapler and there is no way to store any staples on the bottom of the stapler. So, maybe on some, but certainly not all.
Today for me too.I also just found out about the Gatorade cap fitting in the base of the bottle.
It's news to me, but I've never had one of the staplers with the rubber bottom. I'm sure that some people have used the hidden storage space to conceal things other than staples.
No staple storage space on mine ACCO-50
No storage in mine either.
