Florida's recount shows it is not a question about whether the state needs to look at better elections laws, but rather at people breaking the law, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said Monday.
"In Broward County, the registrar [Brenda Snipes] happens to not realize she had brought together a group of already discounted bad ballots and put them in with a group of good ballots," Gingrich told Fox News' "Fox & Friends." "Now, she will count all the ballots. At what point do you say to yourself, this is the second time she has done this – 12 different examples where she has broken Florida law."
But Snipes, said Gingrich, is the "very same person in 2000 and now in 2018" who was behind voting scandals, and Gingrich does not understand why some attorneys do not step in and file a lawsuit.
There is presently no proof of fraud, he acknowledged, but that is because "she won't let anybody in to look at ballots."

My grandfather, who retired in south Florida, voted republican his entire life. After he died, he's voted democrat ever since.
