A Georgia sheriff's office said a man robbing a McDonald's accidentally shot himself in the thigh, foiling his escape.
The Bibb County Sheriff's Office named Donte Sherrod Grayer, 26, of Macon, Georgia, as being the suspect in a Macon McDonald's robbery on Saturday night.
Authorities said that at about 11pm, a man — later identified as Grayer — entered the McDonald's while wearing a black and red wig. According to witnesses, Grayer then asked to speak with the restaurant's manager, before revealing a gun and telling the manger to open the safe in the back office.
The manager did as told, then escaped to the front of the restaurant along with another McDonald's employee.
