A man has been arrested for shooting dead a pregnant 14-year-old girl who was babysitting her sister's children when she was hit by a bullet from an upstairs Atlanta apartment.
Souleyman Diallo, 20, was charged with second-degree murder for the killing of 14-year-old Sonja Star Harrison and her unborn child, according to local police.
Family members say Sonja 'Star' Harrison was an eighth-grader from Stone Mountain who was expected to give birth next month the day before New Year's.

This is a very sad story. The 14 year old young lady was, I am sure, looking forward to a long happy life. What is equally sad is that at 14 she is pregnant and about to give birth. So, terrible that a child's young life came to such an abrupt and horrific end but also a child is having a child.
Obviously, a sad bi-product of her environment. Why can't we break the cycle??? After so many years of democratic leaders who keep these people on the welfare roles, they still don't get it. And this is a prime example of the results.

Take the time to read “The Color of Crime”, a report based upon crime data provided by the majority of police and law enforcement agencies in the country. It is an eye opener. It is available on the internet. I’m interested in Salisbury and eastern shore news and information because I grew up in Snow Hill and my parents moved to Salisbury after I entered the army and they resided there from 1963 to 1984. Things have certainly changed there since then. My dad used to play golf at,the Elks Club and loved Salisbury. I’m glad,he didn’t live to see its decline and destruction.
Other that the shooter with a long rap sheet, there is no mention of the man/boy who impregnated the 14 year old girl or her father or grandfather. These women/girls let themselves get pregnant and all the men seem to just disappear leaving them (and the taxpayers) raise and pay for the next generation who repeat the cycle.
