Jury awards $10m to Philadelphia man for wrongful arrest after he was locked up for three YEARS

A Philadelphia man locked up for three years based on a police officer's false testimony has been awarded $10 million.

The jury's verdict Thursday was handed down in the case of Khanefah Boozer, 33, who languished in jail on $500,000 bail while he awaited trial for allegedly firing a gun at Officer Ryan Waltman in 2011.

The Philadelphia native was with with friends in January 2011 on Abbotsford Road in Germantown.

Went to prison for 3 years. based on a lie by a police officer.
