On March 17, 2018 Deputies from the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office Deputies participated in a Sobriety Check Point with the Pocomoke City Police in the area of Ocean Highway and Brantley Road, Pocomoke Worcester Maryland 21851.
A Deputy smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from one of the vehicles that came through the check point. A search of the vehicle was conducted. The Deputy located a loaded 40 caliber handgun in the glove box of the vehicle. Deputies also recovered a small amount of raw marijuana from the driver, who was identified as Camiri Custis, 31 of Melfa Virginia. Mr. Custis was placed under arrest for illegal transport of a handgun in vehicle. Mr. Custis was released pending trial from the District Court Commissioner.

I thought possession of a small amount was a civil fine not a criminal matter. Why search the vehicle? Oh right, the checkpoints are just a means to violate your 4th Amendment right.
Don't bring your guns to town son. Leave your guns at home.
Maryland will soon be a "GUN FREE ZONE". Keep electing these bleeding heart liberals and soon people will be waltzing into homes to take what they want because no Maryland citizen beyond the police, security company employee and the criminalswill be the only ones armed with guns! If you want to go hunting, fine, just break out that bow and arrow! As long as it is not a rapid fire or semi-automatic. (Sic)

As opposed to "cooked marijuana"?
Notice one thing ---
They don't even tell us how many drivers were stopped by armed men and forced to submit to questioning and searches. INNOCENT OF ANY CRIME.
It became painfully embarrassing for them to admit they stopped 400 cars and found 2 criminals.
Now, they just say "We found a GUN!!". We are then supposed to cheer. And there are a lot of cheerleaders.
It's sickening.
