Parents Say Decision to Allow Student Walkout Breaks Law

A group of parents from New Milford, Connecticut has hired an attorney to articulate their concerns about the decision by their school district to allow students to participate in the national student walkout held Wednesday to advocate for gun control.

In an email sent to Breitbart News, the parents – who wish to remain anonymous – argue the student walkout might appear to be a fairly innocuous First Amendment event to honor the students killed in the Parkland, Florida, shooting and to advocate for gun control.

However, the parents add, the decision involves issues concerning “adherence to law and policy, the manipulation of minors, the misuse of tax dollars, and indoctrination and political activism during school hours.”

They are especially concerned the student walkouts were organized by the Women’s March, an anti-Trump organization with ties to radical anti-Semites such as Louis Farrakhan.

Ah yes, nothing encourages the growth of a young mind like telling them they have to leave their beliefs at the door.

I think Wicomico County violated school policy as well.

I hope someone looks into this case.

Unfortunately I have been monitoring this Bulls!t on Facebook and so called Conservatives think the kids did the right thing. Some people just don't get it.

Those kids that walked out are heroes and they have constitutional rights.

IMO those kiddos who walked out - standing around the school yard or sitting on bleachers - were putting their lives in jeopardy of being shot. Did those kids spend any of the 17 minutes mourning the loss of 17 students they did not know, praying nothing like this happens again, or sit quietly feeling blessed their school was not the victim. The ones I observed were hooping and hollering, laughing with friends, without a clue of what the alleged purpose of the walkout was all about.

Thank God, my teens are in a private school that did not allow a walkout. There would have been consequences, both at school and at home had they became involved in such shenanigans,

11:21- You're obviously are stupid or clueless. Not allowing juveniles to disrupt the classes for those who are there to learn, does not impact one's beliefs. Nor should one's beliefs be a distraction and indoctrinated to another who does not agree. That is what this school has allowed. It is not what the tax payers are paying them to do with their kids. You're just too dumb to realize this, but maybe you aren't. You are likely just bat sh!t crazy.

Also, during class is not the place or time. I wonder how many CHILDREN would have rallied after school, on their own time?

Ah yes, 11:21. You are just another pathetic liberal idiot. Anyone else here notice how easy it is, when these stupid democrats want to leave an attempted snarky comment, how they fail, oh so bad?

But what a perfect setup for another mass shooting, date, time and lined up like ducks in a shooting gallery. School time is for learning, work time is for working. Would your employer keep you if you walked out of work to exercise your first amendment rights?

Require the students to come back to school the day after summer break begins to spend the whole day learning the Bill of Rights.

They should walk out, and not to promote a gun ban. They should walk out because their parents pay a fortune to our government to keep them safe, and the government has made it clear that the only solution they will accept is a gun grab. They should also walk out because public education has devolved into nothing more than a babysitting service.
If you think the school should have stopped them, what power are the teachers given to control ANYTHING these kids do? They can't even punish horrible behavior let alone a media sponsored walkout.

Speak aloud these 10, easy to understand, 2 letter words.
"If it is to be, it is up to me"

NOW - look up school policy and report it to proper authorities. IF what you "think", is correct.
