WBOC Is Changing Their Forecast Every 10 Minutes, Seriously

 5:00 PM
5:10 PM

Yesterday they claimed we might see a dusting but that's about the extent of it. WE had already stated we could be looking at a very serious storm. Now WBOC is finally getting on board with the above forecast stating, (according to their broadcast today) we will be getting a lot more then a dusting.

HOWEVER, leave it to "Dan said it was going to be like this" stated he wasn't sure if ANY of this was going to happen. Well, WBOC flat out stated they were going to a new model that was the best the world had ever seen, including 3-D images. That was over a year ago where they ran that very special segment, yet no one has ever seen it.

Finally, while they claim to be using different models to predict the weather, WHY are they so different? Shouldn't they be using the only model that gets it right each time, or do they use these to cover their rear ends. Nevertheless, we're stating we are looking at a very serious storm at the beach. This is very unusual/rare because of the warmer water temperatures in the ocean. We simply want you prepared and we are NOT going to suggest we are wrong, nor are we going to claim this could be a light dusting.

If the Delmar weather guy went to work at WBOC, where has he been? I haven't seen him yet. Are they letting him work on this forecast at all?

I think Dan Satterfeild will nail the prediction after the storm ends, FIRE DAN SATERFEILD!

Oh come on, Dan is ours and we need to embrace his Delmarva charm...and the fact he is paid by OC for the Partly Sunny, highs in the 80's forecast ad nauseam.

The best weather information for Delmarva - RIGHT HERE @ SBYNEWS!!!

You guys do realize that local weather forecasters read the script written for them by NOAA, right?
And they are sworn to secrecy about methods and observations from satellite imagery, right?
And the US military has been setting up an artificial high pressure area off the coast of Washington State in the Pacific, right?
And this has been ongoing secret project since March 2011 as a protective measure for the lower 48 states.

Every effort to save one area will result in peril for another area.
Precipitation can be migrated to an area east of the target, but eventually it must in fact, fall to the ground.
Weather can and is being steered, but cannot be totally controlled.

We'd all like a perfect forecast, but that is always uncertain unless you're tracking weather in Hawaii.

Our weather gets blended by the coast and by whatever comes across the continent from North, West or South. I appreciate a changed forecast if the data driving it has changed.

My understanding of weather models is that they take a look at what has happened in the past under similar conditions and that is where the 50% or 30% comes from. In past situations of this sort 50% of the time it did this, that or the other.

Online resources are good but not perfect, and there is NOAA weather radio.

Best luck to all of us for minimal impact and maximum comfort!

Accuweather for Salisbury Maryland, 4 to eight inches by Thursday. If I have to shovel 8 inches of the "Dusting" that Dan claims, then please WBOC for god sakes, fire this man!!!

What makes him think he knows more than the Experts on Accuweather or Weather.com?
Or the National Weather Service or the State Of Maryland's emergency management system or md511.org?

Even WMDT is predicting more than 3 inches on Thursday. Hey Dan, grow a pair and go out on a limb for once!!!!
