LaVar Ball has pulled his son LiAngelo Ball out of UCLA in the aftermath of his indefinite suspension for his shoplifting arrest in China that drew international attention.
"We are exploring other options with Gelo," the elder Ball said. "He's out of there."
TMZ Sports first broke the story on Monday.
"I'm not sitting back and waiting," Ball told ESPN. "He wasn't punished this bad in China."

He has no clue as to what would have happened in China had they gone to trial. A Chinese jail is nothing like an American jail.
Maybe that's the problem; if Trump had left them there, he would have a better idea of what punishment is! They were representing their team & the USA while there! What a tool dad is!! I'm sure other teams are just lined up to sign him (sarcasm).
This is where the ungratefulness starts: at home. The entitled ball player thought he deserved those expensive sunglasses, so he took them.
Trump should have never intervened. Like father like son.
Just like kneeling NFL players. No appreciation for what they have.
So now his son will be just another college dropout that can't get a good job because the NBA won't touch him if they have a lick of sense.
But Jamis walked. Good for UCLA.
Should have let China take them to trial and get a taste of what lack of freedom means. Trump could have intervened later - after they got a dose of reality. Father is a truly ignorant, entitled jerk.
trump should have left the kid in jail for a couple years then help to get him out.
I hope any college that takes him in is forced by the NCAA to enforce the suspension. They want him to get a free education and showcase his basketball skills to get him a big pro contract. Some money hungry school will take him.
I wish he would have stayed in Jail.
Snowflake!
Huh. Seems to me as the young man being over 18 (I'm assuming) he could tell his nitwit father to pound sand. Again, assuming , the young man was getting a free ride.
who would want a thief to represent their school...good riddance.
Who?
I wonder if he can get accepted at Bejing U. They need tall B-Ball players, lol!
Who cares about this father/son pair.I sure don't, not worth the publicity.
Wait for him to announce his eligibility for the NBA draft. Bet he believes he’s worth a $80M contract.
good riddance
Worst role-model father EVER.
And now worst sports agent ever.
His son is an idiot - but would've survived it and learned a good life-lesson if it wasn't for the father.
I feel sorry for the sons. Their old man is an abusive bully. UCLA dodged one, and the Lakers are taking steps to rein him in, too. Tired of seeing his entitled mug.
