While most people may get angry at reading what this younger person said, they're actually onto something. It is the older generations that got us into this mess. It's been candidates promising us JOBS and telling us everything we want to hear. However, here's the major problem from the local level all the way up to the President. While their INTENTIONS may be good, there's extremely seasoned representatives already in office who have an agenda and their only ONE vote.
The next thing that happens is the massive funding by lobbyists that makes it very difficult for these newly elected officials to go up against the seasoned politicians who have an agenda.
This is why so many people say we need to clean house. When Donald Trump got elected, every one of these politicians and yes, the Media never experienced someone who simply wanted to drain the swamp and expose these crooked politicians. Trump is the first step towards cleaning the house and we need a LOT more elected officials just like him.
If you think the Welfare and Food Stamp programs are out of control, believe me, that's NOTHING! Special interests are getting so rich it's scary. Starting with your local City and County Council's, we too need to clean house and support the very people who firmly believe in and support Donald Trump's agenda. People like Mike McDermott.
As far as I'm personally concerned, the commenter is right. I also believe we need to fight HARD against those who believe in the Liberal agenda. We need to get our country back and stop entitling the very people who refuse to go to work and support themselves.
Like what the commenter said or not, the time is now to come together and change all of our elected officials from the local level on up.

Minimum ages are written into Article One of the United States Constitution, which bars persons under the age of 25 from serving in the House and persons under the age of 30 from serving in the Senate.
Most people respect experience and Day would be a big example of what happens when an uneducated, inexperienced millennial gets in office.

I'm a boomer and I tend to agree with the comment. The boomers came along in the late 60's and early 70's(spurred on by antiwar sentiment and women's' lib movement) and said they were going to change the world. They changed the world alright but not in the way they said they would. We still are embroiled in ridiculous wars around the world and women are worse off. To think in 75 years we have gone from the greatest generation to the snowflake generation(brought to you by the boomers). The trouble is the millennials think they are going to make the world a better place when in reality they are just as delusional as those boomers were in the summer of love.

Many 'older' people have been ACTIVE in the political scene for Many years. You weren't even thought of back in the day. YOU must remember the 'news media' only told us what they wanted us to know. We only had 1,2 or 3 outlets for news and much of that was FAKE NEWS. Trouble was, many of us knew this but had NO WAY to get the TRUTH out and NO one with a voice to speak it.
Any discerning, Patriot saw what was happening and Tried to do what every we could to speak Truth to power, but it would fall on deaf ears. We worked many years to try to correct the wrongs, but again, to no avail. HENCE, President Reagan, then President Trump.

Let's get something straights. There were two sets of baby boomers. The first sets were born between 1946-1955. The second set were born between 1956- 1964. There were no 1970's baby boomer. Most senators and congressmen were born between 1946-1955. The struggling middle class were born between 1956-1964. You meddling millennial, place ALL of your blame on the first sets of Baby Boomers. Those 70+ year old farts.
I don't think the issue is the boomers. Some of the boomers? Sure. but as the following generations come into power the same dumb stuff will continue to happen as it did with the generations that preceded the boomers. As to my spawn they all have Masters degrees with similar mates and are well employed and enjoying their lives. I think we all go thru a snowflake period in our lives just before reality sets in.
