ANNAPOLIS, MD – Governor Larry Hogan today released the following statement in response to the Graham-Cassidy health care bill:
“As I have said from the start, the Affordable Care Act needs to be fixed. We need to keep what works, improve the parts that do not, and do it in a way that protects Marylanders' coverage and stops rates from continually skyrocketing. I will support any solution – no matter which side of the aisle it comes from – that helps us reach this outcome.
“Unfortunately, the Graham-Cassidy bill is not a solution that works for Maryland. It will cost our state over $2 billion annually while directly jeopardizing the health care of our citizens. We need common sense, bipartisan solutions that will stabilize markets and actually expand affordable coverage. It is time for Republicans and Democrats to come together, fix what is so clearly broken, and finally get something done for the American people.”

Time for a gut check deal. Health care for all but illegal immigration(they all go back including dreamers) and abortion come to an end.
Hogan backstabbing trump AGAIN.
Don't hold your breath Governor...this will NEVER happen as the DEMS are bound and determined to fight President Trump and the Republicans all the way...Really surprised you haven't figured this out yet...It's Maryland's fault that this new bill will not work for Maryland.
Very disappointing stance from Governor Hogan.
Hogan is talking out of both sides of his mouth.
How about this hogan. No government run health insurance at all. It worked well 10 years ago and now they have destroyed it
Well, if O'Malley did not jump head first and take all the medicaid dollars he did then we would not be hurt so bad now. Time to pay the piper.
Maryland jumped on the Medicaid expansion bandwagon and now the chickens have come home to roost!
ACA as we know it needs to be repealed. This is not repealing it, but it does, to a greater part, cut off Medicaid expansion at its keens. A good start? Maybe not, but it's a start.
Maryland will not be able to overcome a $2 Billion dollar hit. It will have to cut back and change.
Hogan needs to get Maryland out of the healthcare business - A.S.A.P
Along with New York and California Maryland receives the most federal funds under the ACA .
Hogan is a Damn RINO. I swear I might as well vote for the the Democrat.
