The Cincinnati Bengals have scored zero touchdowns in their first two games, reportedly causing some in the locker room to cast their eyes upon the NFL’s best-known available quarterback.
According to NBC Sports‘ Pro Football Talk site, some players want to be led by Colin Kaepernick, the former 49ers passer now without a team and best-known for protesting the national anthem.
The Bengals offensive struggles have the team at 0-2 and already cost offensive coordinator Ken Zampese his job. NBC Sports reported Sunday evening that quarterback Andy Dalton is also on the hot seat.
“This means that A.J. McCarron would take over, if Dalton is indeed benched. But there’s a feeling among some of the players that the Bengals should go off the board and consider bringing in Colin Kaepernick,” read the report by Mike Florio.

F him, I would rather have a losing team than hire a traitor!
He is poison. Stay away.
This fool can't stand on the sidelines for National Anthem how the hell can he escape defenses front line??? He on the best team for him....his team.... let's see how it works out for him!!!!!
THe juice is not worth the squeeze.
Another try by the loonies in the left to get Mr. marginal hired by a team.
RGMeeee is available. HAHAHAHAHA
Get a high school quarterback instead! There HAS to be another person in the use that can QB a team. Nobody will come to the traitor's game.
Disagree with his platform all you eant, but how does speaking out make you a traitor? Lol And this from the same crew that wants to celebrate the Confederacy, folks who directly took up arms against the US. Too funny
If he could play he would be playing but his body is to fragile. Mainstream media is what keeps him going but they DONT report the surgeries and LIST injuries that prevents him from passing. He HAD a great year as a rookie but the rest of his career was spent riding the bench healing. Colin QUIT the 49ers and took out a separate injury insurance on himself played 3 games as a free agent and was inconsistent.
Isn't it about time that coaches coach and players-play and leave their petty domestic and political issues at home. There should be a penalty for mutiny. And the National Anthem should be recorded considering most "artist" hired do not respect the well-written and musically scored version.
Never happen. This moron killed his own career live with it. He's average at best and a whole b new crop of qb's waiting at college level for next year. Bengals problems are note with finally replacing the coach not quarterback
I would explain the difference but your not intelligent enough to understand.
Outstanding beginning on the field; average stats except for run ability, which probably helps the stats. Was #6 of 12 QBs in draft; ironically picked just behind Andy Dalton in second round.
At the helm for 6 games his soph year (2012) and all season next year which ended in Super Bowl loss. Lost his starter job and has played little since. No ProBowls. Signed big money deal when he was hot but opted out of his contract in March 2017. So he is unemployed due to his wishes. 49ers could have kept him, traded him or cut him; he'd have paychecks in at least 2 of those scenarios.
He torched his career by interjecting politics. In a sport where most fans are outwardly patriotic only a desperate owner will consider hiring him because his iffy average skills arriving will coincide with a mass exodus of genuine paying customers.
Career suicide. Had every advantage but comes across as an ingrate. He's the Pete Rose of football; gambled and lost. Should be calling CFL teams due to his skills and their rules.
