MSP DUI Checkpoint / Saturation Patrol (Salisbury Barrack)

Another unconstitutional way for the law enforcement send justice system to go out and illegal search and harass any and every one to get funds to pay for their ill deeds....can anyone answer a question ...what is saturation control? Does anyone else feel this way?

Anonymous said...

Welcome to the post 911 world. They probably meant saturation patrol.

Anonymous said...

Personally I like knowing that they got drugs off the street and two drunk drivers off the road before they killed someone I loved or maybe someone you loved. Get off your high horse with cops being out to ruin everyone's life or whatever you consider and "ill deed", I happen to consider drug dealing and drunk driving ill deeds. There were likely complaints of drunk driving in that area for them to pick such an out of the way place to hold a check point, the drugs were just a bonus.

meanwhile back at the ranch the thugs dealers murderers robbers rapists go about their day without a care in the world! great job! NOT.

Aint amerika great?

5:09AM A saturation patrol is a police patrol tactic wherein a large number of officers are concentrated into a small geographic area.

Great MSP, you guys may have saved someone's life last night. Had a friend killed in a DUI related crash on Nanticoke road.

Anonymous said...

The court and criminal justice system have gotten so good at prosecuting DUIs and simple drug possession that it's almost all they do. If you ever have to go to the police for something that requires ACTUAL INVESTIGATION good luck. It will sit on a desk collecting dust while the LEOs work saturation patrol.

Anonymous said...

i don't - the ill deeds of a few breaking the law effects us all - dealing with check point vs being held up in traffic for drunk driving accident - I get upset when LEO does his/her job only to have judges turn the culprit loose with a tap on the wrist, pbrt and over again -

Anonymous said...

5:09 is un-American. Get out if you don't like the way things are done here.

Violating the Constitutional rights of atleast 346 people, odds are there were at least 2 people per vehicle thats 692 people....to get 3 dui...which could be as insignificant as 1 beer on their breath! 4 with less than 10grams of pot but because its in the same tiny packet its sold in...they charge you with distribution.., makes it look significant in these public reports {but its really lies and dishonesty}, it helps to justify the crimes their committing against the citizens, the breaking of their oath to uphold the Constitution, the money/revenue is more important to them than the Constitution, your rights, or even the Oath they took. Sad when you realize that most LEo's are more corrupt than 90% of those they detain.

Why is Fruitland Police participating in Tyaskin? Don't they have enough crime in Fruitland to stay busy? WalMart probably got cleaned out by shoplifters while an officer from Fruitland was playing in traffic in Tyaskin.

Anonymous said...

The more cops the better. I wish they would sit in my driveway all night. I would sleep like a baby.

Everyone of the above comments are making things a lot more complicated than it needs to be.

Why doesn't the our government just go ahead and ban all alcohol sales, tobacco, and weed, and then we can layoff a requisite amount of our police force. I can guarantee you that the crime rate would drop dramatically - and then our public resources could be diverted yield better results - like trying to lure some jobs. And no - I don't want to hear that this is a radical concept as most of the Arab nations have already adopted the strategy long, long, ago.

Anonymous said...

What the heck was the Fruitland police doing in Nanticoke? Same with DNR, they need to concentrate on doing what they are supposed to do, not traffic stops.

Anonymous said...

In order to enforce a ban on alcohol and tobacco, you would need to triple the police force, thusly why countries like Saudi Arabia are known as "police states." If you want to reduce the police force, legalize weed.

Question: What's the difference between this and stop & frisk everyone was having a hernia over during the election?

Anonymous said...

Overtime perhaps. Got to soak up the taxpayer dollars.

Anonymous said...

Lemonade there really is no difference at all. People are so bipolar in their idiotic opinions because they are sheeple. They're told DUI checkpoints are constitutional and stop & frisk aren't. Shows they have no deductive reasoning skills.

Anonymous said...

Cops pay a portion of their own salary through taxes. Kinda crazy they should be tax exempt. Good point.

Anonymous said...

Stop and frisk ARE constitutional depending on the totalitarian of the circumstance... Terry stop.. I know because Ive conducted close to 800.

Anonymous said...

Exactly!

Anonymous said...

Bingo!

Anonymous said...

saw all the cops at state police barracks saturday around 500 thought something was up going after those campers

Anonymous said...

Absolutely right, and you're trapped there. One way in and one way out. Like shooting fish in a barrel for LEO. Knowing that make sure you have a driver.

Anonymous said...

The difference is that driving is a privilege, not a right.

Teacher in the trenches said...

So teachers pay a portion of their own salaries, plus most of their own school supplies for their classrooms too. So per your belief they should definitely be tax exempt. Love!!

Anonymous said...

It's "totality of the circumstances". Please don't use phrases you don't understand.

Anonymous said...

Yep, I was followed for 10 minutes. I was hoping to get pulled over so I could tell them exactly how I felt.

Anonymous said...

Hey, here's a thought..... don't drink and drive....if you don't break the law the stop will only take a very few minutes!!!

Anonymous said...

Thank you LEOs and first responders for everything you do. Your job is hard and tough enough to do day in day out - not to mention a percentage of the audience that dislikes you, let alone social media knowing each/every step you do. Waze and Broadcastify to name a few.

Keep on keepin on!

It is a sad day in America when so many people think these warrant-less searches by armed (and ready to kill) agents of the government LOOKING to see IF they can find a crime are perfectly fine.
Don't they remember what our Founding Fathers said?

"Those who are willing to sacrifice their freedom for security deserve neither one"?

And don't they understand that it doesn't stop? When it was first implemented, the police assured us it would only be to catch DUI drivers? REMEMBER? AND, they also said any driver who doesn't want to go through the Nazi checkpoint will have an opportunity to turn around or take another route (because they KNEW that forcing you to submit to a search without a warrant is illegal). REMEMBER? Don't try that now or you WILL be pursued and searched anyway.
You total idiots don't think that one day (sooner than you think) they will also use the SAME REASONING used at these Nazi checkpoints to do unannounced "home inspections" (by armed men wearing badges)?
Apparently not....
Keep cheering.

Anonymous said...

Waste of resources and money. How much other rel crime was committed while this was going On?

Anonymous said...

Good gosh 1243, loss all respect for your lost cause just for 1 simple word - Nazi. You truly have no clue comparing today/officer stops and the awful late 30s/40's Germany.

Wow.

Anonymous said...

12:43 pause for a few minutes...prop your feet up!! You are about to rupture an artery....LOL

Anonymous said...

1122 correction was not posted. Thank you for agreeing it's legal.

Anonymous said...

It is evident that 2:43 PM suffers from extreme paranoia.

Anonymous said...

If they do a good job and they are not. Most could not pass a urine test. More then likely you will attack my spelling and sentence structure. I'm am the product of PUBLIC SCHOOL.

Anonymous said...

If you are not doing / or have something in your possession that is illegal, it shouldn't be a problem. I'm glad they do these check points to keep the idiots and criminals off the roads.

Anonymous said...

And you would be the first to Bitch if a friend or family member was hit by a drunk driver, wanting to know where the cops are....smdh

Anonymous said...

They need to go after the heroin down there.

Anonymous said...

Why doesn't the Salisbury University Police help out on these saturation patrols?

I guess they aren't real police officers.

Kudos to the Natural Resources Police.

Anonymous said...

There won't be a checkpoint down there when the fishing tournament/party happens in Sept.

Anonymous said...

It's all politics. I would bet a dollar to a doughnut that there will be no saturation patrols in Crisfield this Wednesday for the J. Millard Tawes Clam bake. Probable half the people leaving there will be drunk and the police will do nothing. Why, because most of them will be politicians and high profile business men and the police do not want to arrest any of them for numerous reasons. So go to the clam bake and get wasted and drive home, don't worry about the cops for this event.

Anonymous said...

What does SERO mean?

Anonymous said...

I read this 3 times and I still don't see your point. It's just rambling with a violent undertone.

Anonymous said...

Don't forget about the 'teagers when their seafood bash is rocking. Nobody want's to arrest the Gov by accident. Just an example, he will have a DD wearing a badge.
Most comments here have no idea how sophisticated behavioral change tactics and law enforcement tactics work together. Ask the cig companies how their US sales are doing. Just imagine the wild west stuff that would be going on without law enforcement.
In the end it's all about the money, that's the sad part.

Anonymous said...

Everybody knows they aren't "real" police officers. Lashley is a joke. A racist buffoon who hides behind his position to bully others.

Safety Equipment Repair Order. It is what is issued when you have an equipment violation on your vehicle (i.e..tag light out, head light out etc) in lieu of a citation. It requires you to have the defect repaired and visually inspected within 10 days but carries no fine or points on your driving record.

lmclain said...

I'm not looking for your "respect"....
Address the issue.
Attacking the writer makes it look like you don't have any retort to the facts. I noticed none of you did that.
How telling.....

Anonymous said...

You are just plain wrong 7:50. I don't see anyone attacking the writer, I think most addressed the issue of targeting innocent people in one community while ignoring drunk driving in another community entirely, for instance the clam bake in Crisfield. Very discriminatory in my opinion.

Anonymous said...

I think they should just close down the highways Rt 50, 13, etc. and conduct vehicle searches of every car and truck to see what all these people, that have nothing to hide, have on them and in their cars. Then see if the cops have all this support for their searches.

Anonymous said...

Good idea 10:04, than a lot of these supporters would have a very different opinion of the illegal search and seizures.

Anonymous said...

Shutting down 413 after the clam bake would also be a good idea 10:04. Let's see how many politicians and big wigs are driving while intoxicated. Maybe they should check the airport also, a lot of the big shots fly in on there own private planes. Don't come back and say that they have pilots because most of them fly their own planes.

lmclain said...

No one has YET to address the fact that INNOCENT citizens, not exhibiting ANY criminal behavior at all, are FORCED to stop and be questioned and/or searched by armed men. In America!
Don't stop or pull over at one of these NAZI (just for you. bro) checkpoints? What happens???
They aren't sending flowers to you, unless it is to your funeral.
Object to being stopped for no reason? The police will really begin the fun. As in teaching you a lesson about who is REALLY the boss; another hallmark of the Nazi regime.
And, 1:16, go ahead and tell us why secret charges, secret trials, secret convictions, and secret prisons (in THIS country), 24-7 surveillance (of EVERYONE--- guilty or not), wiretapping of EVERYONE, guilty or innocent), warrantless searches, and confiscation of money and property (WITHOUT ANY CHARGES OR TRIAL!!!!) by armed government agents (resist it? you may be killed by those same agents) don't look a LOT like what the Nazi's did?
I can't wait to hear your reasoning. More like cheerleading, I'm thinking.

Anonymous said...

Imclaim as usual hit the nail on the head but all those who are making money off this will beg to differ. KOPS=NAZI. think not ask them and they'll be educating you as to their authority over you.

Get off your high horse buddy.
They are violating US Constitutional Rights to be left alone in our peaceful lives.
Leave us alone.

Cops are modern day Roman Tax Collectors.
Less than honorable way to earn a living.
Pathetic.

A friend of mine was stopped and detained for over 30 minutes. He was not drinking or on any drugs. The officer (short State Trooper) gave him a field test, watch the pen, walk the line and so on. Then he was question some more with many details. After a dog went over his vehicle they gave him a breathalyzer. This took over 30 minutes and was an inconvenience because he had to get home to an elderly person that he is taking care of. I know this guy very well and he does not drink and drive and no drugs. He farms and takes care of 90+ year old man. The cops need to get back to pulling over cars weaving or even in today's time people can phone in for someone driving in a poor manner.

Thank you

You do NOT have to submit to a roadside examination. But you will probably be arrested and taken to the barracks and asked to give a breath sample. 30 minutes is a very long time to examine someone on the side of a road. If we had any good lawyers in this area they would not be able to get away with some of the stuff they do. But then, most are afraid to stand up for their rights.
