Colin Kaepernick Travels 'Home' to Ghana to Trash US on Independence Day

The former NFL quarterback, who no one wants to pick up this year for some reason, tweeted out his disgust for America on Independence Day.

Kaepernick: “How can we truly celebrate independence on a day that intentionally robbed our ancestors of theirs? To find my independence I went home.”

Kaepernick released this video on Independence Day. It has over 53,000 likes.

I hope he stays.
And WTF is the slavery thing all about anyway. You and I don't own slaves or tell our ancestors to round them up and bring them here! It was the Dutch and the Brits that started it-US land owners were merely the buyers.
If blacks think things are so bad here, go back. If not, shut up. It happened a long time ago. Yes, it was bad. Really bad. Disgusting bad. But WE had nothing to do with it. In fact, most of our ancestors immigrated here, anyway! They weren't southern landowners. My great-grandfather was imprisoned during the Russian invasion of Lithuania, beat to a pulp but escaped and made it here. I never heard him bitch about "Russian reparations". I'm so sick of hearing about 'slavery reparations'!. If they want reparations, we'll all pitch in and pay for your plane fair back!

I personally don't care what he thinks or says or does. Just hope he feels enough at home in Ghana to stay there FOREVER.

Maybe he will stay there. I am sure the people of Ghana will pay him millions of dollars to play a game. If he gets sick while he is there no worries they have the best health care in Ghana. Hopefully he will speak out against the government in Ghana and we will never have to hear about this spoiled jackass ever again.

Hey, Colon, we don't care!

This is proof why we should not allow immigrants into our country! No foreigner adoptions either, there are plenty of kids in orphanages here. They are ungrateful little bastards! Like Pres. Trump says, "America First"!

Deny him entry back into the US. What a d1ckhead.

The GNP of that country wouldn't cover what he was making in the NFL...sad asshat...he needs to buy a shack there!

stay the hell there. Probably shouldn't be here in the first place

Amen 1:13!

We need to just stop giving him media time. He will disappear. But since I am here. Hey Kaeper*ick, how do you like Russle Wilson now?

Yawn, sports athlete who is no longer relevant because he has no team. If/when a team does come callin for his physical abilities - he will SIT the bench.

32 owners is a majority and they WILL dictate who plays on the field; who doesn't AND who sell tickets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, Kap is a hypocrite, after being adopted and raised by "his" Caucasian parents, he goes "home" to Ghana, while talking $&_# about USA, the land where he made millions of dollars playing football, go figure. Maybe he needs to stay there for good. Just another ex-NFL "celebrity" affected by political liberal brainwashing. Too many concussions, maybe?

REVOLK his Treasonous Passport.

He was born in the USA by A white American woman. His dad abandoned the family and zero evidence of being black. He was adopted by upper class white couple and raised with a silver spoon... He is a fake. I wish I grew up in a home like his.

This definitely ought to help his case to join a team for this upcoming season...He's like a person sawing off the limb of the tree while sitting on it and wondering why he falls to the ground....

I honestly don't think he has been blackballed, I think the owners look at it fiscally. Why would you take on a back up QB who would cause issues within the fan base and possibly cause you to lose money? Instead of signing a guy who may not be as talented but will be cheaper and say the right things as to not cause controversy.

Kaep is free to use his platform however he choses, but it's a two way street. The NFL has spoken.

I'm not one to start a rumor , but I heard through the grapevine that him and Maxine Waters have a relationship way beyond just friends , I've heard of talks of even marriage.

Has been.

He doesn't even look like he was born in Ghana or has ties to Ghana... IF he did or does then he should sure as hell know, there is no other place better than america... at least at one time in history that is...

He is to fragile for football and is not a dependable player. Spent more time on Disabled List in two years then he did playing. He chose to back out of his contract with the 49ers... He decided to make millions being a RACE PIMP and it's working. Soon a book deal.

He was not a history major in college it seems.

While he's over there, maybe he can see how good he had it in the United States, versus how free they really are over in the motherland.

I must say...all of the negative above comments are from white people. Of course you would celebrate independence day and not understand anything about the struggles of the black race. You guys claim America is so great but yet there is so much prejudice and racism in America. It's really a joke. Not everyone is ignorant and prejudice but a good amount of the Americans are. Good for Kaep for not being afraid to think or express himself! He is not black balled because of race by the way. He's just not good anymore. But I hope he gets a job in the NFL just so you all can shut your mouths!!

Anonymous said...

How do you deduce all commenters here are white people?

Race bait much?

Anonymous said...

Kap complaining about white suppression is like me complaining about PMS: neither one of us knows what it's like.
I'm really sick and tired of blacks complaining about racism when the most government handouts have been targeted to minorities. How long is it going to take for the black race to take responsibility for their own lack of success? Grow a pair and move on instead of making excuses.

Hope he stays

10:10 need I say more?!?! Exactly my point!

I bet the people of Ghana look at him like a spoiled little brat. Total ass hat.

Free blacks also fought in the war of independence from Britain and should celebrate as well. It was not just a white man's war. And I know plenty of prejudiced blacks out there. It goes both ways. But many of us oppose violent actions by both or all races. We should all come together and fight against the politicians who are badly and sometimes illegally governing over us to their own advantages.

Anonymous said...

Don't come back.

He has no job here lol Adios M F

Actually the first black slaves were sold into slavery by other black men. Tribal wars made prisoners of war, who were then sold to other tribes. The practice spread when they began shipping them to other countries.

Prejudice and racism is color-blind. Racism exists for many races. The black community does not have sole ownership of racism. Prejudice exists in religion, gender, hair color, orientation, etc. The black community does not have sole ownership of prejudice. The black community DOES try to take ownership of and capitalize on both. Stop being a damn victim. Others have risen above, so can you.
