Methodist Church Ordains First Non-Binary Trans Deacon

The United Methodist Church — a mainline Protestant denomination boasting some 12 million members worldwide — has commissioned its first brazenly “non-binary trans person” as a deacon.

The newly-minted “non-binary trans” deacon is the Rev. M Barclay, according to United Methodist News Service.

That’s her first name: M. She’s a woman — born with the name Mary Ann Kaiser — who refuses to identity as either female or male. She’s totally just neutral.

Also, she wants everyone to use plural pronouns — they, them and theirs — to refer to her.

Barclay received her commission as a provisional deacon from the Northern Illinois Conference of the United Methodist Church on June 4.

The Methodist denomination is apostate. People who are still attending Methodist churches should pray earnestly about whether to remain, and they should obey God without fear or guilt as He directs them.

The Methodist Church has been going down the wrong path for years. They are so liberal that they just tell people what they want to hear. First of all the bible speaks out in Timothy that a woman should not have the authority over the church. That means no women pastors. They can witness or teach children in Sunday School. But not pastor a church. Then the Methodists thought it would be a good idea to have homosexual pastors. We all know the bible speaks out against that. The bible also says except a man accept Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior he cannot see the kingdom of God. So yes you must be saved to get to heaven. But this seems offensive to the unsaved crowd so the Methodist do not preach the Gospel. They tell everyone what they want to hear. That is if you do the best you can everybody will get to heaven eventually. And this is just a lie of the devil. There will be many Methodist preachers that will die and go to hell because they were not saved and never preached the salvation of Jesus Christ. So you see the Methodist have become the religion of convenience. So stay in that Methodist church if you want to because your grand parents are buried in their yard. But just know that God is not in it.

This woman is governed by the devil. There is nothing of Christ in her shameless sin.

You state repeatedly that "the bible says", but reality is that a man or group of men decided these things in the 1st to 5th centuries and wrote those verses. Not allowing women to be pastors is absurd. It wasn't ordained by a deity. A guy decided that.

That being said, I find the whole "trans" movement to be strange and frankly pretty gross. Live however you want or be what you want, but the rest of us don't have to accept it as normal. Another effect of the degeneration of society I guess.

I think all of her are insane.

See how stupid it all is?
The language isn't made to accommodate such a request / demand.
How can we use a plural pronoun to refer to an individual.

How about the singular pronoun: IT ?

Makes a lot more sense, doesn't it? (pun intended)

And so goes the parting of the Methodist Church.
They will now be branching off on " their own."

This is one of the reasons we left the Methodist church. Their inclusion/acceptance of the LBGTQ community as leaders/pastors in the church. I also agree with 10:38 about women pastors. I'm not saying that they are not welcome in church, as we are all sinners and fall short of GOD's glory, but not as leaders and also not as married couples. The Methodist church was/is having a discussion about sexuality in the church. What is hard to understand about the fact GOD created man and from man HE created woman. They were created different for a reason. Then HE commanded that the two, MAN & WOMAN shall become one in marriage to go and procreate the earth. I don't believe the church would allow a practicing pedophile serve as a pastor why then allow an LGBTQ? This along with the LGBTQ community protesting for the Muslim community, who by the way kill gays, will destroy our way of life in America if we don't stand against it and fight. This is not intended as gay bashing or hate. I have friends who practice this way of life, doesn't mean I have to agree with it. Tom Goslee

11:02 You are wrong although a man or a scribe wrote the words down. If you are a believer you know that God inspired these men. God guided their hand as they wrote down what God told them to write. This is why the Bible has survived for such a long period of time. God saw that it was preserved so that his people would have a guide on how to live as a God fearing, Bible believing Christian.

I don't care what her delusion of the day is, but I guarantee she goes to a Gynecologist for her annual physical. And if she needs a Gynecologist for that, she's a woman. Pure and simple. No delusion can change that. She IS what she IS....not what she thinks she is. That's just CRAZY!

Simple as that.
Well said!

All I read here is judgement and ignorance. Comparing a pedophile to a person who identifies as LGBT? Seriously?

How about we start looking at the HUMAN inside the skin, instead of whats on the outside?

We were all raised that a woman can do what are considered "manly" things and quite frankly, with all the absentee men, I see many women doing it ALL AND men can do what are considered "woman" things.

Enough is enough, there is no room in this life for hate, bitterness and judgement. Everyone who judges another person PERIOD is going against God's word. There is only one judge, God.

Consider this: Perhaps it is God's plan to show ultimate love. That is what God is about LOVE, Love thy neighbor, Love thy Brother.
Love others of different religions
Love others of different colors
Love others who are different, because yes, God created us to be different, however, that includes all differences, we as a people do not get to pick and choose what is considered an "Acceptable" difference and what is not. God certainly didn't do that.

Really, just do your best to be kind and the rest will take care of itself.

Gods word is as old as dirt and is just fine with me. Appears the Truth hurts allot of feelings these days when churches stand their ground. Some obviously dont!! Its the twisted logic and ideals of these churches that lose the true meaning of Gods word......but
The Word of God proclaims, “A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent” (1 Timothy 2:11–12). In the church, God assigns different roles to men and women. This is a result of the way mankind was created and the way in which sin entered the world (1 Timothy 2:13–14). God, through the apostle Paul, restricts women from serving in roles of teaching and/or having spiritual authority over men. This precludes women from serving as pastors over men, which definitely includes preaching to them, teaching them publicly, and exercising spiritual authority over them.
