I am glad that AG Sessions wrote the policy for harsher sentencing...under these new guidelines, this criminal would not have been on pre-release!

It's a pretty long walk to anywhere from QPR. My guess, he probably had a ride waiting and that some of the contraband he was being investigated for included a cellphone.

Just for a measure of public safety, there should be signs on the roadways near the facility that warn against picking up hitchhikers.

Shouldn't be hard to find with those tattoos.

This guy just screwed himself. If you're at Poplar Hill, you're generally within less than 24 months of getting out.

He'll eventually get caught, get sent to a maximum security prison, and curse the day he walked off the property of Poplar Hill, for a very long time.

Pretty much a given - if you have a large neck tattoo you are going to commit a crime(s) or is it that you commit crimes because you have a large neck tattoo? Pretty much throwing your life away either way...

What's the problem here? It's pre-release after all. He probably felt that he would just leave a little bit sooner that what was planned. He was probably heading to church or to volunteer at a homeless shelter. He is rehabilitated you know.

Rebel you can be glib all you want but this man is out on the streets in Salisbury ready to reoffend once again. Not a laughing matter, except for the fact that Mayor Day will tell you there's no real crime in Salisbury.

Oh Geez, were they borrowing guards from the Wicomico County Detention Center?

Probably went to SPD headquarters and they threw him a pizza party for coming forward to spend some time with them.

Hope he had some bug spray with him.

8:09 If you are driving past QPR, you know it's there and not to pick up strangers. When Dave's sport shop was down the road, locals would gather, buy some beer n bullets and go looking for the escapes.

Sorry Swamp Drainer, I was being sarcastic. It must have gotten past you. I'll do better in the future.

Rebel, no worries, I'm a bit overly touchy these days. So many stupid vibrations in the air are beginning to make my brain feel like mush to the point where I miss the subtleties of quick wits like you! You just keep doing what you're doing. I turned off the news for the day now! Things will be better after I dump my chip in a brief debriefing.

Not everyone who drives those roads knows it's there, or even what it is.

11:53 Then they have no business down that road. There were never any problems west of Dave's sport shop that could not be handled by the westsiders and the couple of LEO that lived there in the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. Then the county decided to put the local parks on a map an encourage visitors from Salisbury and beyond. Now locals can't and won't use the parks because of the trash and violence brought by these visitors. The Cove is a prime example. Search this blog for articles about the problems there.
