SNOW HILL – Failure to follow alcohol purchasing regulations resulted in a $4,000 fine for one Ocean City bar.
On Wednesday, the Worcester County Board of License Commissioners (BLC) fined Cowboy Coast $4,000 for having alcohol intended for Plug Ugly’s Publik House.
“The problem certainly will not occur again,” attorney Joe Moore said.
Moore represented Cowboy Coast and owner Mark Bogosh. He told the board that while Bogosh owned Cowboy Coast, he managed Baltimore’s Plug Ugly, for which his mother is the liquor license holder. A representative from the state’s comptroller’s office found 98 bottles of Plug Ugly liquor in Cowboy Coast during a March visit. While both restaurants buy from the same wholesale distributor, the alcohol in Cowboy Coast had been purchased under the Plug Ugly account.
Bogosh told the board a lost check resulted in the Cowboy Coast account being suspended by the distributor. Because he needed alcohol for Cowboy Coast in advance of St. Patrick’s Day, he ordered it on the Plug Ugly account.

Yeah....sure...we are all morons and believe that load of crap. Lawyers are all liars. What do you call 100 lawyers at the bottom of the ocean? A good start.
Another government shakedown
Antiquated liquor laws. Bar owners should be able to purchase alcohol from any source. There should only be a state sales tax on alcohol like in most states.
9:06 - Ba-hum-bug The government should ban any and all alcohol consumption - period. The DWI's would go down, social ills would practically cease, and societal benefits in virtually every department would be enhanced. You reap what you sow and this is one area (alcohol sales) that I would like to see eradicated.
9:45 Please feel free to move to a muslim country and you won't need to worry about that demon alcohol, dirty dancing or being tempted by young women in short skirts/tank tops. ROFLMAO!
9:45 you did take history class at some point in your life didnt you?
Brilliant 945. Last time we did that in America (Prohibition) it started the biggest organized crime network in our history, otherwise known as the Mafia. I bet you are the brightest one in your class, aren't ya?
I agree with 9:45. (E. Ness)
There are some dry counties in TN. Property is cheap there. Need help packing?
They ain't exactly dry, my brother. Ya'll make yer own there.
the government is out of control-who gives a crap. This worse than the Soviet Union
If that's what you think it's time for you to convert to Islam and go live in Tehran. Buffoon.
Free market?
Alcohol contributes to 90k deaths a year!! That is just what is reported. Of course this doesn't include rape, violence and domestic violence... This is NOT considered a epidemic!! 18k die of heroin overdose and it is considered epidemic. Billions being poured into fighting it.... I like a beer just like the next person but I'm also realistic. Alcohol is the most abused DRUG in America and ruines lives on a regular basis...Maryland had made FELONY dwi laws... more then likely after law makers passed the law they went to a bar got drunk discussing heroin laws and drove home
480,000 deaths per year are attributed to tobacco use in the US. Alcohol, tobacco, drugs are all voluntary. No one is forced to buy or use them.
We used to be free
2.5 million people die in the US every year. I say ban death.
10:02, if what you say is true then 20% of deaths each year are the result of tobacco use which of course is the percentage of tobacco use in this country. So what the authorities are saying is everyone who uses tobacco eventually dies from that tobacco use. This of course is more government propaganda that is just total BS but has become accepted as fact.
9:45 Sorry for your lack of knowledge.
This is what happens when politicians hands (gov't workers) are NOT greased. BAM - $4K fine!
(sarcasm OFF)
