A Hartley Hall Comment Worthy Of A Post

He should not b there. He should have been removed. The safety of staff, residents and even visitors should b of the upmost importance here. I am a caregiver and yes we do all get abused in some form, but this is way beyond what any caregiver signs up for. Yes I feel for his family. But remove him so this doesn't happen again or before he actually kills someone. I know a person who has actually gave her 2 wks notice and is out under 2 dr notes and will have to attend therapy. I also know that nothing has been done and the employees don't feel safe. This is utterly a shame. Hartley hall was known by many as one of the best and after this they aren't fit to care for stray animals. After the first situation he should have been gone. Bit it is all about the money and not about care. When u get told to basically suck it up this is job something is wrong. No one and I do mean no one signs up to raped and physically beat to the point that u feel ur gonna die.

I pray for the victim and the staff. Especially those directly involved, and to those suffering with panic and anxiety. This is not good for anyone.

This story is not going away. Local Media can cover it up all they want but it's out now so the longer they ignore it, the less credible they become.

The reality is that this happens daily in nursing homes across the country. These centers are not just for the elderly anymore and take in any patient that has the ability to pay (medicaid/medicare/insurance/private).

Terrible, her one aauit, one has her notice in it's 4 nurses out on leave with notes from their doctor not to return. We are at skeleton staff and it only gives him more opportunity.

I heard from a friend of a friend (so probably not reliable) they are trying to find other placement for him but no one will take him (understandably). How true that is, I don't know. I feel so awful for the staff there and the victim.

Is this guy a registered sex offender? If so was staff made aware of that fact? If so why was there not say two people attending him or perhaps a male nurse/attendant?

I hope someone has contacted the State agency that governs Nursing Homes. Anyone with factual information can contact them. What I have read their license should have been pulled and the Administrators removed ASAP from the Facility with a Court order that they are not allowed on property. There have been several comments published that would justify these actions. Does anybody if Hogan has responded since this is a Staff, Patient and Public safety issue. I can see several lawsuits coming forth.

He should never have been sent to a nursing home where the elderly live. They could have sent him home and have male home health personnel deal with his physical therapy there.

To everyone out there who wishes to say negative things about this incident do not have all the facts. I am praying for all the nursing staff and the women in the middle all this. It as a very tragic thing to have happened.
I knew the man before he had a stroke and the man I visited today is not the same person I new before the stroke. He was a very soft spoken individual also a caring and gentle person.
This stroke has changed him to a person completely different then he was before. Until he is diagnosed by a professional people should wait on there negative comments. So as a result of the stroke he may never be the man he was before.
It is very unfortunate that people want to jump to the most negative things to say when all the facts are not out there. I hope and pray the women traumatized will reach out for help.
Only time will tell where this will go. So until then lets keep a open mind and have a little compassion for all those who are in the middle of this. Its a bad situation everyone involved with has to deal with on both sides of the problem.

Why can't the nursing home just kick that idiot out?

6:08, it seems to me he has just been diagnosed, and needs solitary confinement under lockdown until there is a cage ready for him somewhere.

Should divide nursing homes from rehabilitation centers so our elderly isn't put in danger because some stupid administrator doesn't exercise common sense. Crowley should be fired immediately, just like he was from his former job at a Berlin nursing home. He should be barred from ever working in the industry again. You'd be hard pressed to be fired in these types of job but obviously, he doesn't have what it takes to perform it.

It is true they were trying to send him where I work our company turned him down

How do we find out who is on the board of supervisors for Hartley Hall?

This will not go away no matter how hard they try. I am going to keep after someone until this guy is out of there
My mother is a resident there and I can't even sleep night because I am afraid he could go in her room..
I will keep going until something is done. Hartley Hall....You will not get rid of me......you will be seeing more of me instead.

Agreed Anon 10:23am. I also won't let it go away either. Crowley and his buddy also need to be fired. The board should be held accountable every minute those two continue to work there and allow this danger to continue.
