Man dragged off United flight plans to sue

The attorney of David Dao, the man dragged off a United Airlines flight earlier this week, says he definitely plans to sue the airline and the city of Chicago for what transpired and the injuries Dao sustained.

Attorney Thomas Demetrio says he has requested all evidence in the case be preserved so they can bring forward a complete lawsuit.

"I would defy anyone to suggest that there was not an unreasonable amount of force used to help Dr. Dao disembark that plane," Demetrio said in a press conference Thursday.

Demetrio says Dao received a concussion, broken nose and two teeth knocked out as he was dragged off the plane.

He should have just gotten off the plane when bumped and made his case afterwards. He practically asked for this to happen. Just another person looking for "free" money in a lawsuit because he had his feelings hurt. This entire country has embraced a "victim attitude" and no one is responsible for their own actions.

why didn't he just take his own punk a$$ off the plane.

Other reports have said he called lawyers when the first offer of $400 was made. And that HE accepted the $800 offer & got off the plane then snuck back on when the United employees came on board. He was the one who caused the situation by refusing to leave. If he had walked out like a normal person he would not have been injured. United should due him.

I'd have taken that a** whipping for a 7 figure settlement like Dao will get as an out of court settlement! Knowing what I know about his criminal history it sounds like karma got him!

How about United stop selling more tickets than they have seats for??

12:59 PM sorry you don't do more research and believe all the fake stories you read.

I read the world was coming to an end, maybe today?

He was in the wrong, but I've also seen bar bouncers take better care when taking someone out of the bar. One would think they would have better training in how to deal with unruly people.

That is hardly news that he is suing - more like a given I'd say

I Agree. It's like ordering a $20 steak at a restaurant, having it brought to the table, then having the server take it away to give to a co-worker and offering you $10 for the inconvenience. If you need to charge more to turn a profit then do it. It's better than selling more seats than you have and trying to buy/beat your way out of it later.
