DC Mayor Says Arresting Pot Smokers At Inauguration Won’t Be A Priority
If you’re hoping to grab one of 4,200 free joints that will be passed out by a pro-marijuana legalization group on Inauguration Day, The Man probably won’t be focused on hassling you for smoking up, Washington D.C.’s mayor says.

This sounds like D.C. law , of course they are above the law , Marion Barry taught them well .
Good for Mayor Barry. He was just a scape goat. He was loyal, because im sure he could have brought down a large portion of the govt on all levels if he so desired. Bet they were anxious to say the least and relieved when he Died he really pissed someone of in Washington. Good. bout time they focus real issues besides marijuana, like the heroin crack and meth epidemic. Tak weed and move on

What Bowser doesn't issue in her statement is the inauguration is a Federal event not a local one. It's also on what's considered federal land therefore, it's the jurisdiction of the feds not Bowser's. If people want to be idiots and smoke pot, by all means, they should but they should be prepared for federal law enforcement to arrest them not DC cops. Federal carries a much stiffer penalty than local so the should be prepared for that one, too. If you want to throw your liberal temper tantrum, go for it but know there's a much larger price to pay for your tantrum. It's called freedom. If you think forfeiting your freedom, chance for future employment and voting in any further election, then go for it. Just remember, "Don't drop the soap."
You people are stupid, weed is legalized in DC so why should they focus on arresting people???? oh that's right people who know nothing of the subject and are to lazy and stupid to look at the laws think they knwo better than I what I should put in my OWN body...
The priority should be to be watching out for anybody that would try to harm Trump and his family and Pence and his family.

Your ignorant comment is only serving to make smokers look bad. Nothing worse than someone calling everybody else stupid while saying something really stupid. It's legal to possess in small amounts and smoke on private property. It's still very much illegal to stand out in the open and do it.
