Baltimore community feels neglected by police

West Baltimore residents are frustrated by the high rate of violent crimes in their community and what they feel is a lack of police presence.

"We are very displeased with what we call the lack of service, the lack of protection that our community is receiving," said community activist, Marvin Cheatham.

Community activists held a news conference Wednesday to express their concerns.

"I see the killings and the shootings and the people are crying out," said community activist Reverend Keith Bailey. "What are we going to do?"

Reverend Bailey ought to get on the horn and call Reverend Sharpton or Reverend Jackson or any of a 1000 Reverends that seem to pop up during every protest and riot.
They certainly had all the reverent answers during the looting.
Citizens from all over this state have had just about enough of this Baltimore crap. Go talk to the PARENTS in the community. Get them to react. Get your own house in order, then give us a call. We'll come.

It's a shame because it seems to be young versus old, with the old ones too intimadated to come out of their homes or speak up against the crime for fear of reprisal. To clean up that neighborhood they'd have to suspend the 4th Amendment and go house to house and literally haul the crimimal element to jail for whatever reason they can find. Or they could do like they did in the 60s and post the National Guard to maintain a presence. I agree with the poster above about Where's DeRay? Need to make it a hashtag.

DUH! If the police were in the area they would say they would be targeting and profiling them. 3:48 don't feel sorry for anyone. They grew this generation now they have to suck it up. They grew the culture of disrespect, no honesty, lack or morals and principles. All that morphs into crime.
