JUST IN: Alan Thicke dies at 69
TV icon Alan Thicke has died ... TMZ has learned.
We're told Alan had a heart attack while he was playing hockey with his 19-year-old son, Carter. He was transported to Providence St. Joseph's Medical Center around noon today, and pronounced dead there.
Law enforcement sources tell us ... a company that recovers organs was contacted, so some of Thicke's organs could be donated.
He's survived by his 3 sons -- Robin, Brennan and Carter ... and his wife, Tanya.

I didn't even know he was thick.
R.I.P. To a very respected actor.
Just goes to show you, no matter how much you take care of yourself, exercise, eat right, and stay active, when your number is up, it is up.
Life is too short, enjoy it, eat what you want and have fun.
For those like me who had not a clue who he was, I googgled that Alan Willis Thicke was a Canadian actor, songwriter, and game and talk show host. He is known for his role as Jason Seaver, the father on the ABC television series Growing Pains.
Thank you 1:46
9:37, go away.
I loved watching Growing Pains as a teenager. One of the best sitcoms ever!! Rest in peace, Mr. Thicke. Prayers for his family...
Its sad, but people die everyday. He was not important in my life, just an actor. Stop glorifying the acting profession, they are not gods.
3:26. I totally agree with you. Stop putting these people on a pedestal.
