A 24-year-old man was killed in a double shooting in Annapolis over the weekend.
The shooting happened Saturday on Clay Street.
"It certainly appears the people shot were targeted," Annapolis police spokeswoman Cpl. Amy Miguez said.
The shooting fits a recent pattern in Annapolis, which has seen a historic increase in homicides.
Last year, there was one reported homicide. So far in 2016, there have been 10 homicides, "which is the most recorded since we started reporting information to the FBI in the mid '70s," Miguez said.
